real life

- So as time went on house music had broken up into different forms, the early Italian disco house influenced pumping piano chords usually in minor 7th,deep BassLines using Yamaha DX7s,Roland Junos and Roland TB303s with a Roland drum machine,Tr606,707,727,808 and of course the famous Roland Tr909,put together with a Korg M1 piano and some kind of vocals but mostly instrumental as bedroom music makers didn’t have access to singers easily so we adopted the hip hop culture of using samples.
DJs and producers creating a house track to be played in clubs may make a "seven or eight-minute 12-inch mix"; if the track is intended to be played on the radio, a "three-and-a-half-minute" radio edit is used.House tracks build up slowly, by adding layers of sound and texture, and by increasing the volume.
The term "house" came from DJs creating music in their house or at home using synthesizers and drum machines, such as the Roland TB-303,[38] Roland TR-808, and TR-909.These synthesizers were used to create the acid house subgenre.Juan Atkins, a pioneer of Detroit techno, claims the term "house" reflected the association of particular tracks with particular clubs and DJs, considered their "house" records.
So this is a tribute track to house music, something that’s in my DNA because for me it’s real life.
🔥🔥🔥 Too Infectious 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thanks so much really appreciate you checking it out,I’m glad you liked it
@@russ8889 Gotta love it!!!! Appreciate your contributions to the community.
woop, woop, woop, woop 😍 Great track russ!!! I love it. Funky ❤❤
Yes! Russ takes us on a journey to the past and into the club scene via his musical mind gateway!! 🕺
You nailed it 100% my friend. This has classic house vibes that got me into this style of music in the late 80s early 90s. I’m dancing in my kitchen as I type this! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you,I have a few more dance tracks to unleash across a couple of dance music styles so hopefully I’ll give you those old day feelings again
Feeling it…Good vibes. As always, well done Russ!
Jazzy and funky feel. Great track.
Thanks Viv is a homage to old house music
nice bit of old school
Thanks, appreciate that,I might have to get my white gloves out …..oh shoot can only find one and it’s the wrong bloody hand!
@@russ8889 haha
Fabulous track Russ. Loved the history lesson too.
Thanks so much,I figured I would start adding a little history around this music as people from outside the uk have a idea of a rave but the uk really flew with it so just painting the picture within the different kinds of dance music and why so.
Extraordinary!
Well I pulled my my old house hat out for this one….thanks Grant
Hot track!🔥🔥🔥 I love the old-school vibe, oh, man, it feels great.😄💃🏻🕺🎵 Neat work, Russ, cool visuals too, it's perfect - not too much, not too little.🌀
Thank you very much,as you know yourself dance music videos get tricky, especially when the track is long lol,but yes paying homage to the old days of rave
Cool dance track, Russ!!!!!
Thanks so much ahh that poor piano lol
Awesome stuff Russ 👏 👌 👍 🙌 😎
Thank you much appreciated
88 vibes, house music, in my bones 🤘🤘🤘
I’m old skool all the way……more to come
Love it russ. Giving me all those 808 state goose bumps. DrZ🙏🏻
Now I’ve always wanted to cover a 808 state track “ Pacific state” and actually had a couple of goes a bit like moments in love by the art of noise but it never does it justice.one day maybe, but I’ve not been doing anything after that Giants Album but in the last week I’ve done some drum and bass so in getting back into the swing 😊
Love those lo-fi vibes Russ. You had me in reverie from note (and beat) 1. 😄You mention all the equipment I could never afford to have in my bedroom (although I still have a Yamaha RX7 in my guitar case under the bed, and I so deeply "borrowed" a Roland Juno that they had to pry it out of my sweaty fingers sometime back in the late 80's, along with a Roland TB03 - boy that was a fight and a half, we almost descended into fisty-cuffs I can tell you) I remember vividly the hours spent slaving over a hot Tascam Porta-05 (that again is still upstairs somewhere, with the obligatory broken flip top cassette cover)! Thanks for the glorious memories 👍😄
Ian just just wrapped up what it is to be a musician,it’s that journey to get to where where we are and being able to make the best music possible with the equipment we have available,I’m lucky I still have a lot of all my old gear, mixing decks under the bed, rack equipment in the wardrobe,808,a couple of tb303s sh101 ,KorgM1,juno 2,jd800 all in the loft and have been for at least 15 years, the convenience of an iPad rendered all that not necessary, taking up the space and now since my stroke I can’t even get in the loft to get it if I want it anyway 😂
Nice track, Russ. Like the vid too. Wraps you up in a delicious soundscape and moves you along...
Thank you,was lovely seeing you on the interview and I think you’re a awesome guy and a constant source of support,I really do thank you
@@russ8889 You’re making me blush! 👨🦳💤 You create terrific music, Russ. You’re easy to support- ‘cos it’s a pleasure to listen.
Awesome Russ, this is different than your other works of art. Bad ass...🔥🔥🔥
To be fair this was my bread and butter doing dance music, that’s pretty much all I did up until a couple of years ago,the latest Delicate Giants album as a band was the first time I’ve worked in a band, and getting older I’m a bit more chilled but occasionally I can’t help myself to make dance stuff it’s in my blood,
Cool house track and visuals, Russ! My mrs is a big house lover and will dig this tune too i’m sure. Funny you also mentioned Italo Disco. I used to be a huge Italo Disco fan before there was house and before i discovered metal... hahah! I always loved those catchy and groovy electronic beats and synth melodies. Such wonderful naive, cheerful and upbeat stuff! KOTO still being one of my favs 🤭 Still fun to listen to occasionally when i am bored of listening to metal hahah 😉
EdBDisco... Not something I expected. But I also had my Electro Phase in the 90s😂
There was a big influence of Italian piano music,Gino Latino,Black box etc,I’m just digging through my unreleased dance stuff as I’m going to get active on the Giants channel soon so it gives me the chance to clear the decks this track was from 2015 lol
@@forestofthewolfofficial lol ✨💃🪩🕺✨
@@russ8889 your dance stuff is great Russ. Keep those groovy ‘oldies’ coming ✨👍✨
Taking back to the days of Acid house,
Ying yangs to the rescue 😂
Great work here mate
It’s amazing how it spread without the days of internet, like the ground staff working in record shops with flyers on the counter, the white label craze….not the proper dub plate stuff of Jamaica……even I done it …lol
Such a great sounding track. I love the percussion on it -- it reminds me of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On." Thanks for the explanation in the description section -- very interesting!
Thank you,I will listen to that track,ok just listened I can see that with the toms/congas.I also am aware of not many people know the history of dance music roots,I in fact made a documentary on it on Jade Starrs channel called Disco to Dogtrax explaining my journey.anyway I thought I would start adding descriptions to dance tracks I’m releasing to kind of explain its journey to people who are interested.
You Rock, Russ. Awesome Stuff
Thank you Frank, this stuff is in my blood
COOL TRK. MAN !!
Thanks I really appreciate that
Getting my Tuesday started hearing your tune, Russ! 🎶💖🔥💘🎵Cheers! \|/
I’m very happy to start your day off I hope it got you moving
Giving me flashbacks brother 🤟
Thanks Mark, funny enough I was actually listening to your stuff last Sunday, finishing with Sunshine on a rainy day….such a great track
@@russ8889 Cheers Russ
Oh I’m sure it will! 😁
Sounds great. The mix and wideness of the sound is super. My buddy has bought some old 808 and other old school equipment. Sadly he does music only for himself with it
Shame you can’t get your hands on it,I’ve still got some old kit knocking around, mostly shelf sitters or up in the loft.To be honest the new stuff doesn’t drift out of tune like the analogue gear, sometimes a keyboard would drift out of tune though a song…..nightmare…..
@@russ8889 yes.. I tried to encourage him more than 1 Time . But he has no ambitions for it. The music he does is fantastic and the equipment sounds really great. He payed thousands of euros for all the stuff. And like you said, they have a own life
"Even more soul"
Got to have soul brother
BOOM
A bit of the old days…made new….thanks Jeff
🕺🕺🕺🕺🕺💃💃💃💃💃👯👯👯
I’ll keep you dancing, plenty more where that came from…lol
If this community is a nation I want Russ to be president
Well I could assure you I would be firm but fair lol…..thanks Mat
Amen to that!
