- its not guaranteed that you reach 100km/h with stock vario, you only unlock 3600 rpm. microcar still accelerates with 3000 rpm because of stock variator weights so if you want to accelerate with 3600 rpm you need lighter vario weights. stock weights of microcar virgo 3 are 175gram, but you can change them out for 150grams or 135gram vario weights from an aixam

*UPDATE* not all focs have the “focs spring” some focs also come with the progress spring.. and i tested both springs and the progress spring reacts the best on throttle and power. So I recommend the progress spring if your handy enough to install it!

Nice video! I had a 502 engine on my mc1 family but,i had in my storage a 523 mpi 5600 rpm version so i swaped it now the car top speed is 118 km/h. And the average fuel consumption is like 6l/100 km so not to good but not to bad.
I always wanted to swap the mpi version in my microcat but in the netherlands its nowhere available so i have to deal with the standaard 502 engine. 6l/100km is pretty good my microcar has around 5,5l/100km not good for a diesel🤣

@@jurriendw050 do you know if your original spring was for 2200 rpm or more, on my MC2 owners manual the max rpm is stated as 2200rpm, workshop manuals state the 3600 rpm.
@@FireWaypoint my stock spring was 3000rpm it also says that on your engine block, between the exhaust en oil pan theres a plate with your engine code and which rpm spring is inside.

Ik zie dat je ook geen mechanische diesel pomp hebt maar een blindplaat. Ik heb ook een microcar virgo 3 maar kan nergens de elektrische pomp vinden. Heb je een tip waar ik moet zoeken ? Ik heb de brandstofleidingen gevolgd maar ik zie deze nergens zitten.
Great video, what's the best tuning option for tuning the progress Engine? The car is used by my daughter so she don't need a big difference but a few more torque and speed would be nice....thanks in advance!
Most easy mods are turning up the fuel a little so you get more torque and power. Link in description to german guy how you can turn fuel up. And remove a few variator ring so you get more speed

you can actually buy a 3600rpm spring for the progress as I have Focs and it has the progress spring but I don't know how to remove it

Can i screw out the rps limiter screw on aixam gti 2017? I'm afraid I'm going to destroy the engine
Dont be afraid just remove the entire limiter screw thats against your throttle lever on your engine. Also adjust your gas pedal so you can use the extra gas you can give now. The kubota engines in a aixam have a limiter screw to reduce power but when you remove the screw you get the full potential of the rpm's the engine still has a limiter no worries it wont blow up. But you can now rev to around 4000 instead of the stock 3000 or what stock is. If you remove limiter screw be sure to also unscrew the fuel screw a little because otherwise it doesnt get enough fuel in those high rpms!
You wil almost double your horse power with these 2 things done well !
@@jurriendw050 OK thank you very much! so you mean that I can just remove the gas limiter screw completely, and tighten the throttle to the max? and also adjust the fuel screw up a bit? the engine is called kabuta z482 just so you know
@@viljar.varslott yes remove the screw that is limiting the throttle and then adjust your gaspedal and cable because it can move further now and screw the fuel screw out 1 turn or if you want a little black smoke you can turn it out a little more but its very sensitive so dont turn it out to much!

But how i make it to stock 12 hp ? I have a/c and when it's on it is soooo slow i need to tune it because of that
@@goldendlolig8237 if you want to go faster with a/c you cant a/c just uses alot of power so if you want to go faster turn it off theres is nothing around it.

Do you know how to chiptune DCI engine? Because not a single shop in my country can even connect through obd port, liger uses some new protocols which no one knows...
Eej goeiendag, weet je of je de Vario koppeling versnellingsbak zijde eraf moet halen om die veer strakker te zetten ? Of kan dat ook op een of andere manier als het erop zit
Die moet je eraf halen om te verstellen en zit vast met een grote clip ring hoe strakker hoe meer toeren die optrekt maar hoe lager je top word hoe slapper hoe minder toeren bij accelaratie maar hoe hoger je top. Let wel op te los of te strak is niet.goed.omdat die de riem er anders niet in kan trekken of er staat te weinig spanning op de riem en gaat die piepen!

@@powerroblox1397 look online there are pre-tuned chips you can just plug into your ecu and it remaps it or you can download a remap of your ecu online but i dont have a 492 so more about tuning it i dont know🤷

Heb wel bij oude motorblok gedaan de hele iniectoren uit elkaar gehad maar niet gefilmt helaas

Eeej goeiendag, weet je misschien hoe je kan zien wanneer zo’n aandrijfriem te oud of gwn op is ? Want ik heb het idee dat hij slipt tot 30km/h
Dan gaat de bovenkant beetje rafelen en de zeikant kunnen de lagen een beetje los van elkaar komen of scheurtjes erin zitten. En sws als je je riem nog nooit hebt vervangen is het slim om dat te doen omdat je ze eigenlijk om de 5000/10.000 moet vervangen. En als die dan nog steeds slipt staat je versnellingsbak vario te slap afgesteld en moet je die veer strakker aanspannen.

@@bennieleip579 nee maar is wel op internet te vinden. Moet die achterste vario van versnellingsbak halen en dan kan je die vario uit elkaar halen en dan de veer zit in verstelbare gaatje dus moet je hem in een gaatje doen waardoor die strakker zit.

You can unlock the variator first but you can do so much with that horsepower is horsepower so there is not a different way to make a engine that runs 3000 rpm as fast as one that runs 3600 rpms

@@noelxd6643 you can check if your variator is unlocked by putting it in neutral and giving full throttle now look at the engine variator and look if the belt goes al the way in the variator (to the edge of the variator) if its NOT to the edge om the variator pulleys / flush with the top of the variator pulley you know there are rings left in your variator

Turn the fuel screw outward to give it less fuel turn it in to give it more fuel
the screw where it regulates the amount of fuel does not respond now I am removing the valve cover, and the vessel where the nozzles are pushed is doing nothing it may be that someone has assembled it badly, maybe you are facing where it needs to be hung up, because when pulling the gas cable the nozzle foot does not move

Hi, so i have the lombardini progress engine and yes the gas throw is short but my pedal works only til midpoint and i can push it more but i dont get any more speed. Is there like a screw so it would give more gas or extend the pedal motion. I already pretty much maxed out the torque screw and im not planning on doing the spring thing because of the difficulty.

If you already gave it more fuel and your gas pedal can go 100% there is not much more to do to gain more power besides changing to a different rpm spring😬

@@tauri6067 that screw regulates how fast the rpm goes back to idle. Dont mess with that screw!
@@jurriendw050 ok. I heard that if you cut a little bit shorter the vario bushing in the middle where the spring is it makes it go faster. Is that true?
@@tauri6067 if your belt doesnt go al the way on your variator you need to cut a little bit of the vario but if your belt goes all the way to the top in your variator with al the rings removed you dont need to cut anything!
When i search it up it says the weird spring is for the focs and viceversa. Are you sure the focs is the one with the easy spring?

@@kacper_bozy460 the dci engine can be chiptuned, ive seen people reach 70+ km/h with only chiptuning, if you want to go even faster or dont want to chiptune. Put a engine variator on it from a microcar virgo or the old varios because they are bigger and put the weights of the dci in the virgo vario and put the gearbox variator spring tighter. Thats all i know what you can do. Succes!
If you put a bigger variator on it remember that it also needs a bigger belt because stock one is probably to short

Zal ik niet doen gewoon veren installeren die worden verkocht en precies gemaakt zijn voor een bepaald aantal toeren, zo voorkom je dat je je motor sloopt. Ik ga met kerst een 4300 rpm veer installeren die gemaakt.word door lombardini zelf

Heeft de Kubota Z402 ook zoiets?
Er zit bij de kubota een boutje die zich bevindt aan de radiator zijde van het blok aam de achterkant waar meestal ook een kabeltje doorheen met een loodje eraan die bout moet je weghalen die bepaald max toeren maar motortje kan het maklelijk hebben als je hem maar eerst rustig warm laat lopen en goes onderhoudt, raak btw niet in de war met stationair schroef waar hij op dat.momemt tegen aan rust de bout die niks doet moet je hebben.
@@jurriendw050 Je bedoelt de max gas slag? Dat boutje heb ik al teruggedraaid ja. En daarbij ook het gaspedaal iets verbogen naar boven. Anders heeft dit geen nut namelijk, want pedaal zat al op de grond bij volgas.
@@ditech geen idee ik jad gelezen dat als je die schroef eruit haalt er geen toerenlimiet meet op zit en hij zo dus harder doortrekt. Zelf heb ik geen kubota dus meer dan dat weet ik ook niet helaas.

There is a limiter screw thats sits against your throttle on the engine that limits how much throttle you can give and there is a small screw on the radiator side to turn up the fuel, search on youtube turn up fuel Kubota z402

@@andreacrippa7220 turning up fuel and removing throttle limiter of the throttle, this is not bad for your engine, these engines are out of factory very restricted and this makes it even run better.

No you need to chip tune it at a shop that can do that, because the dci is electronic controlled

Good vid ! I have an Aixam GTO from 2013, my older brother tuned the fuel screw i believe and unlocked the variator, is there anything else that I can do since he can't work on it anymore ? (Engine is Kubota Z402 Diesel)
Check if the throttle limiy screw is still on engine. Is a screw that limits how far the throttle lever on the engine can go

@@albertpatran move radiator to front. A fiat sceicento radiator fits perfect and use a multilayer headgasket with the thicker headbolts

No they're engineered to run at those rpm's they are normally used in boats etc and run at a constant 3600 rpm but they can easily rev up to 4500 without blowing up, soon im going to put a 4300 rpm spring in.
