Did Ueno Takashi ever train with Takamatsu sensei?

Did Ueno Takashi actually train with Takamatsu sensei, or did he just receive written transmission? Here at a Tai Kai from the 1990's Hatsumi sensei gives his view on the matter.

@Borntwice RSD pt 2 Because not only did Takamatsu teach Ueno Takashi, he made him and one his other students Sato Kinbei the soke of many of the ryuha. He then retired from teaching full time and was living in Nara when Hatsumi and Fukumoto came to him for training. And this isn't even opinion, this is a fact, supported by the Kuki family, Ueno's students, Sato Kinbei's students and family, the Genbukan, pretty much everyone who isn't Hatsumi.

@Righteous Shadows Dojo To clarify, Hatsumi Sensei’s exact Japanese is (0:35): 高松先生と上野先生と一回も会ってないです。(Takamatsu Sensei to Ueno Sensei to ikkai mo attenai desu.) Literally meaning, “Takamatsu Sensei and Ueno Sensei never met even once.” Hatsumi Sensei’s language is very definite. It’s hard to believe that Hatsumi Sensei truly thought that Ueno Sensei never met Takamatsu Sensei a single time. Further, why would Takamatsu Sensei write out documents for somebody he had never met. I respect Hatsumi Sensei, but I don’t understand why he would say this.

I really wish i could learn gyokko and koto ryu from someone honest in arizona!!! And not bujinkan or hatsumi! It saddens me ill never be able to I've out my dream because of this drama hatsumi has perpetuated

Ueno did learn from takamatsu hatsumi was exposed in the court case where tanemjra actually became soke of Gikan ryu

And people think that this old man could be call “Sensei”? He’s a liar. A great business man that lie and don’t know pratice ninjutsu. he was just a mu-kyu, Ueno Takashi Sensei was already an older Takamatsu Sensei deshi. Why don’t you ask the same question to Hatsumi (not Sensei) COUSINS Tanemura Sensei, Master of the Genbukan Federetion! Ask him if they are the only two Takamatsu Sensei students.

Being an older student doesn’t mean you inherit squat. It’s often that a younger Delhi gets chosen. Tannemura was a student of Hatsumi…and his technique sucks

@@davefletch3063 yes, dude, but I was talking about the respectable Master Ueno Takashi. Tanemura is not a great Master, I don’t mind about him, but I respect the fact he doesn’t say lie about the Martial Lineage.

@@lorenzomartelli5985 ueno takashi was given a special scroll by Takamatsu. He was not given the 9 schools. Those were given to Hatsumi Sensei. According to Hatsumi, Ueno never physically trained with Takamatsu. Unless you have photos or video proving otherwise. Hatsumi was well known to train with Takamatsu and wasnt not a mu-kyu as you suggest. Looking at some footage from Ueno takashi school, the technique is rigid and looks like it was learn from a book, not actual teachings fro. The Master.the kind of movement you get from just studying photos or drawings and not learning the stuff in the Kukam ( inner space) between the photos) I have trained in Japan and experienced first hand the Teaching of Hatsumi Sensei and his students. I have watched the footage of Takamatsu training them, seen the personal photo albums. Not one picture of Ueno in them

@@davefletch3063 I can assure you that Tanemura Sensei, does not, "suck". He was one of the original Shihan of the bujinkan and as you pointed out he was a student of Mr Hatsumi, but in addition to that he was also a student of other students of Takamaktsu Sensei such as Sato, Kimura, and Fukumoto Sensei and he inherited several ryu ha from them.
