@@kobusdewet5004 yeah, always apartheid and colonialists fault. I have suffered under those evil systems, . but I have put that in the past and moved ahead. From the son of an indentured labourer to a chemical engineer. I have worked hard to be where I am today. From the sugarcane fields of KZN To the vineyards of the Western Cape. I have made it happen for myself, never begging the government or anyone else for anything.
Now 28 years since they got an almost pristine country and it has been reduced to near rubble by African mentality. Imagine if they ran this previously beautiful country from around 1900 when the British were in charge. Eish, would have been a wasteland sooner.
There are some that can still operate. Just a matter of waiting to see what Prasa will conjure up next and if they can deliver a proper long distance service again.
Did remodeling of 6E1 locos in Koedoespoort from 1980 till 2002 with merry band of brothers, black, white, pink and yellow. Proud time but now all in ruins it would seem.
They run to Beaufort West and terminate there beacuse the 25Kv line starts there to Kimberly. But they used diesels to get to Worcester becauee of cable theft in the NuweKloof pass and other areas
Did this train return to JHB empty? If not, why did Prasa put passengers on to buses to JHB? Some passengers on X claimed that they were put on buses all the way to JHB.
Yes it was empty. I think because of all the delays the train experienced on its way to Cape Town, they opted for busses to allow passengers to get to their destinations on time instead of letting them sit for long hours on a train
As an old spoorie, breaks my heart to see the state of neglect of the rail system in SA. Never was like that, ever.
The ANC should feel ashamed really. But do they?
@@nelsonchinasamy9857 can't blame anc, they don't take accountability for anything 😂. Always...but always someone else's fault 😛
Itt is the apartheid which led to this ! Eish.
