Yo most appreciative of the reaction. This is one of my favorite songs of Jay Z's Black Album which is a classic. I'm a teacher on a break for the week so I'm going to send you a couple more hopefully I can hear a few more during my break I understand you have a busy schedule though..
This is the most underrated Jay track. The second verse on this has some of my favorite bars out of his whole discography. Another dope one is Can I Live
Build the sands on you (hotel in vegas). Rat pack was famous group in vegas, Sammy Davis Jr, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin etc., Ced freestyled all that. Castor Troy was Nick Cages character in face-off
I agree with that. Lil Wayne is more flashy but Jay Z is just better and more consistent. Lil Wayne is in my top 6 all time, I flip him & Eminem back n forth for the 5th spot a lot... Jay Z is my 🐐. My reasoning is -Lyrical -Impeccable Unique Flow -Impact -Accolades -Records Set -Consistent -Longevity -Branded himself, he's a business...man. like no one in the game. -He's real, many rappers act this or that but HOV just IS. -He's brought us Kanye & Rihanna who both ended up billionaires & legends themselves. -He talks that Big Boss shit cuz he IS the Bosses Boss of the industry.
Its always funny when people try to label J Cole, especially a young Cole in this case, as a "lyrical" rapper when he was rapping about the same shit as his peers for most of his career 😂 Whats even funnier is the people you used to compare him and Jay Z against, Young Money, are Rap nerds; Jay Z is Wayne's GOAT, Drake is a glorified backpack rapper who stanned and raps like Phonte from Little Brother, and early Nicki was a more fun version of old East Coast Rap.
Put the hands on you dig out a hole in the desert then build the sand on you" the sands casino in Las Vegas is where the rat pack frank Sinatra Sammy Davis had a residencey
Crazy thing is Wayne has said that Jay Z is his idol
Yup, Wayne has his favorite Jay song "Lucky Me" tatted on his neck and one of the three verses on his leg.
Jayz is the greatest of all time
