Some tips on Valk: - After landing a bash, do a side light for 13 damage instead of the 9 damage top light - On heavy parry, do the front dodge attack for 16 damage instead of 12 - If you input a zone for your dodge attacks instead of just a light, you get a free shoulder pin on accidental deflect - Valk has a frontdash GB option to negate some of those T-Rex arms, but it's nowhere near as good as Kensei's so you'll still whiff a lot.

When you were talking about backwalking heavy to sweep as Valkyrie (15:20) I think you were thinking of pre-rework Valkyrie where that was the input to sweep. I'm not sure what heavy unblockable (that you need to backwalk to use) you are referencing on Shaman though, as the only heavy unblockable on her I'm aware of is just her left heavy.

It's not the side winder start up the warlord got the gb on, it was the dodge, he probably inputted it before you inputted the side winder, the side winder has no gb vulnerability which is why you can use it as a kinda option select for gb's, you can usually input it on reaction, well thats what I've found

I just started playing for honor, I completed the campaign on realistic, but how do you do well in multiplayer? Every time I play online, I get my ass served to me on a platter, am I missing a mechanic the campaign doesn't teach?
The campaign of for honor is on a different patch than multiplayer. All the characters in campaign are the same as they were when game was released, while they've had changes/reworks etc in multiplayer, not to mention speed changes. Just try to relearn the game :p

Okay, so, I will admit I am one of the people who are critical about what seemed like toxic attitudes in a few of your vids. Really appreciate you trying to genuinely explain the reasoning and perception of certain things. At the end of the day, its almost always up to individual interpretations of things and it'll end in agree-to-disagree, so hearing you acknowledge the criticism you've received a few times is a plus for me. Plus deep down, I enjoy the game play regardless.

and yet there are specific characters, against which he has little to no chance of winning, unless he tryhards to the max and predicts 80% of his enemy's actions, while they can have a pretty good chance of winning just by randomly mixing up their actions without predicting him all that much. pain has a lot of experience with for honor, so i feel that he understands the problems of this game quite well. It is true that nobushi isn't the worst character in for honor, the CCU made her better, on low-mid skill level there aren't too many problems, but when you are fighting good players that you can't reliably predict or react to, nobushi's effectives drops quite a bit. So i believe that nobushi does need a buff, but if she is gonna get buffed, PK and Aramusha deserve it a bit more, a lot of people say that shinobi is horrible, but i dunno personally, atleast it isn't 100% obvious to a person who isn't playing shinobi, unlike PK and Aramusha.
I like your videos but you're always complaining about nobushi being bad but that character is actually cheap I can understand the bp or conq match up but against warlord I think its a fair match up
ngl that conq was cancer too i hate meeting people like that they use a good hero or in this case a really good hero then they just parry everything so all you can do is turtle and play very cautiously
