  • A run through how I approach short underarming a method feeder fishing, aggressive bites and it is sure to keep your eyes glued to your tip. I was given some of the new KKH pre tied hooklengths to try and they didn't let me down. This method is sure to get you plenty of bites be sure to get out there and give it a try.

Fantastic upload Kayleigh, most enjoyable and very informative brilliantly put together as are all your uploads, my daughter who is 12 also loves watching, she has only been fishing for 2 or 3 months now and regularly beats me hands down, last weekend she landed 4 beautiful crussian carp to around 6lb on a local club lake using a short cast method after watching this upload, a very special afternoon,

Hi Kayleigh, Visited Linholme yesterday, Strip, for a bit of practice. Didn't have a rod with me was pole fishing. I rigged up a method feeder to my 8.5m Preston Monster margin pole. Was the end of my day so I thought that I would experiment. Cupped in half a cup of 8mm feeder pellets close to the bank, then dropped my method feeder on top, I had set a jigger float to depth. Adjusted the pole to tighten the line then BOOM! In less than 20 seconds I hooked a carp, 8 - 10lb. What a nice way to finish the day. Short method is a great tactic.

The amount of times I’ve nearly lost my 7ft Wandzee doing this method because my drag was too tight! Lol 😂 love this style of fishing 🎣

Does method short work at all venues? Or do the venues need to be method venues?

@Scott Essery Best take ever on method short for me was a natural venue and a roach of about 8 oz Will work for every venue if the fish are in the mood

@@barbaraneville5036 agreed, but I've found best results for me are with a bigger stamp of fish. Larford etc. Just a smoother day imo I've tried it with f1 and skimmers and I find it just turns into a bit of a calamity and short shallow wins on that situation for me.

@@scottpardoe6349 I never match fish :-) hardly ever on commercials different pressure if you have to outfish a section or win a match I just pick up all the tips I can from the Professional match guys and try them during my angling sessions Surprising how they improve the amounts caught weightwise Method and bomb is always my favourite Even for fishing the Lea for Barbel it works well

\\\yep , I use a small baitrunner reel and set the runner fairly slack - it disengages when you wind - saves faffing around with the clutch
