Fantastic video. I'm a Kinessa main and it's just stupid how much effort you have to put in to fight a competent flank with her compared to Strix who can kill the same flank within seconds. I personally think that a GOOD Kinessa is better than Strix but it's just unfair that she has to put in so much more effort for the same reward as Strix
I remember back then, Kinessa had a card that reveals the targets she hits. This was great against Strix since it was easier to anticipate when he peeks. They removed it now, but I still enjoy Kinessa mostly because of the talent that makes her teleport skill instant.

I don't see why not at this point. Reveal is terrible on the mines since you can trace down the mine easily if you are affected, the mines doesn't put a enemy into combat to prevent healing, and the 7 mines loadout is gone so it shouldn't really be a problem. At least fix those problems about the mine that I listed.

Kenistry Marsh Payload doesn’t have an objective and only a push a payload on a pretty big map. You try and push it to the end, while the opposing team tries to prevent you from doing so. It tracks your progress with a percent, depending on how close you are to the finish. Whoever has the closest to 100% is the winner. I’m not too sure what happens if both teams reach the end though.

Strix -CAN DEAL 1200 damage without charging shots -Can do quickscopes -has stealth and some basic mobility -has reveal and a bursty flare -his ult is strong and charges faster -his pistol is accurate and strong -His hitboxes are huge, buggy rectangles in fact you still take damage even if you dash somewhere and someone shoots at the spot you were before dashing. Imo the problem with snipers in paladins are their huge hitboxes + bodyshots and also the cheap limited maps. They should make snipers more headshot based, you shouldn't be rewarded with 1200 damage just for shooting at rectangles. They should make them headshot dependent like sniper from tf2, less bodyshot damage and more headshot damage. Also the hitboxes need to be fixed asap. Ah and maps need to be more detailed and large , they feel so cheap and restricted rn. Edit : strix is also easier to play About the talents, kinessa has 2 strong legs (rep and steady aim) while strix has 2 OP legs (the new crack shot and UU)

I played with a strix player for a long time and you got it on the nose. When we lost it wasn't his fault. But when we won it was entirely him. Literally everytime he logged on he would tell me and my friends what his kda looked like since last time. I play supports like pip and maldamba. I outdamaged him 4 times in games where he "carried" me and my friends.
ScopeZoom was doubled for Kinessa in around mid 2018. It significantly reduced her ability to defend herself at short range & made her a lot less fun to play. Also the transporter yellow trail added was a big nerf to the ability.

@The wise idiot Strix can quickscope, Kinessa can't. He wins sniper duels cause of invisibility. He can reveal people which is really good for a sniper and he has a better secondary. Kinessa does more damage but it doesn't matter at all cause even with headshot talent on fully charged headshot on squishies they still live with a sliver of hp which means you need to get 2 shots which strix gets easier and more consistent. Kinessa is only better than strix when her ult is activated. Tbh they should make kinessa fully charged headshot oneshot to more squishies.
It really sucks how Kinessa got the short end of the stick, she's such a fun character and deserves so much better than this. What exactly could they do to help her catch up to Burd Daddy though? Maybe boost the damage on her mines or carbon rifle?

all they have to do is make her teleport instant by default, reduce her sniper charge time which they did from 1.4 to 1.3, that should help and mayyyyybe increase mine damage MAYBE, they could then make a new talent around her mines.
Considering Kinessa has a 39% winrate (thebettermeta dot com) meaning she is the worst champion in the ENTIRE game, she needs A LOT of buffs. Reduce snipe charge from 1.4 to 1.3, boost her normal shooting dps, bring back slows to the mines and make the teleporter instant.
Perhaps give her some of her sniper spots back. If it’s that much of an issue, give other characters the ability to go after her without being absurdly loud.

For Zhin, if he throws flare, just pull out counter same as for if he ults since if I remember his counter can send a no u to Strix' flashbang(simply making it useless just like the fact that Zhin can give Raum a no u to his ult with his counter) but I don't fully remember. For Maeve(It's in PC btw, If I know you're a console Maeve main) is a different story, good Maeves can deal with average or even some few good Strixes in most of the times, but average or good Strixes maybe even the mediocre ones literally fk bad Maeves(Maeves(players) that are shit, still in PC because in console hitscans are alway a crutch no matter how good you're with a non hitscan champ like Maeve or Zhin) in most ways.

For me (a Nintendo switch lvl 75 Maeve main with 0 aim) it`s way easier to deal with a kinessa then a strix, couse strix ALWAYS gets the first shot and even if i get him low, he goes invisible, I try to flee and the hitbox fricks me up. I totally agree with u.

That’s interesting. Our Kinessa actually plays as Close Combat distraction. He maxed into Ult, uses instant teleports, and only uses the SMG mode. We tend to not need a flank because of it. This is quite a different view to me and I’m sure we’re in the minority
As a *veteran* kinessa main, level 73. (My highest level champ) *Kinessa is really fkn good* if you know how to play her. (Imo better than strix) Advices : - Quick Scope is a skill you should muster for any sniper in any game. - There is no accuracy loss with jump shots in this game, so master Jump shots. - ALWAYS use reposition Talent if you feel their flanks( or off-tank flanks) will give you hard time, other than that use any Talent. > *Reposition is the safest and best talent (IMO).* - Using reposition opened a flanking option if you think you're good enough. - You shouldn't keep scoping a flanking maeve. Do : Quick scopes, dodge their shots (reposition if you have the coldown), quick scopes, dodge their shots. - You don't have to wait full charge to start shooting at ANYTHING, your safety is your priority. This gives you faster shot than strix in a 1v1 situation. > Full charge first, then 3/4 or less charge to kill strix. (Faster PEEK SHOTS) (Usually strix will go invis if you shot him first, wait until he shoots at something then snipe him again afterwards) - ALWAYS pause your activity if you hear footsteps of flanks, and pre-scope at the path they're coming. - Primary targets are : Flanks > Support > Damage > Tanks/shield/deployables. >Card to use -> I dont use reposition CDR with hipfire shots card, but I always use Health card after reposition. It's necessary min lvl.3. I main Kinessa and also play Strix but lately I've been avoiding him because it just feels so unsatisfying to play him even if I get top damage and most kills in the game

I was a Nessa main back in OB64 days and soon after. I found that Nessa was really enjoyable to play, even up close and personal if you had access to; scope in speed, scope move speed, shoot to refresh tp and heal on tp at level 5. I don't mind the fact that I can't have all those, the thing that did it for me was when they increased the scope zoom. Now my old Nessa play style makes me want to throw up.
Here’s a fix for strix! Get rid of his pistol and give him a flare gun. And I see why you don’t like Maeve but if Maeve wasn’t introduced, then snipers would be more op than they are now, they have terrible snipe hitboxes.

Honestly when they increased the zoom of Strix's scope, they should've left Kinessa's scope zoom as it was, 'cause it's harder than ever to hit flanks. Plus, her mines don't slow anymore. I don't even remotely understand why. They should slow, and reveal like Vivian's, giving her a way to defend herself. Plus, if you got a 0.5s stun every time you landed a headshot with her sniper rifle, and got the old 20% carbine bonus damage on targets slowed by your mines, she would be on Strix's level of good, especially if she could go back to reaching trees and rooftops.
ob64 was the downfall of this game, i can never forget the day i opened paladins to the new patch and it was complete shite. before ob64 it was the best game ive played.

What's the difference between siege and payload? I haven't played the game for that long.

I played with a strix player for a long time and you got it on the nose. When we lost it wasn't his fault. But when we won it was entirely him. Literally everytime he logged on he would tell me and my friends what his kda looked like since last time.
I play supports like pip and maldamba. I outdamaged him 4 times in games where he "carried" me and my friends.
That's one toxic player i don't want as a teammate 😐
ScopeZoom was doubled for Kinessa in around mid 2018. It significantly reduced her ability to defend herself at short range & made her a lot less fun to play. Also the transporter yellow trail added was a big nerf to the ability.

At the very least I just want no spread on her assault rifle, to not die AFTER I fucking teleport because someone shot where I was teleporting from after I already left that spot, and her teleport trail removed. Evie doesnt have a trail so why does the squishy character who's gonna teleport exactly where shes looking do? 😂

@The wise idiot Strix can quickscope, Kinessa can't. He wins sniper duels cause of invisibility. He can reveal people which is really good for a sniper and he has a better secondary.
Kinessa does more damage but it doesn't matter at all cause even with headshot talent on fully charged headshot on squishies they still live with a sliver of hp which means you need to get 2 shots which strix gets easier and more consistent.
Kinessa is only better than strix when her ult is activated.
Tbh they should make kinessa fully charged headshot oneshot to more squishies.
It really sucks how Kinessa got the short end of the stick, she's such a fun character and deserves so much better than this. What exactly could they do to help her catch up to Burd Daddy though? Maybe boost the damage on her mines or carbon rifle?
Or just nerf strix and avoid replacing one broken sniper chatacter with another..kinessa has the highest per shot dos in game already..shes a character that shouldnt get toyed with
all they have to do is make her teleport instant by default, reduce her sniper charge time which they did from 1.4 to 1.3, that should help and mayyyyybe increase mine damage MAYBE, they could then make a new talent around her mines.

Considering Kinessa has a 39% winrate (thebettermeta dot com) meaning she is the worst champion in the ENTIRE game, she needs A LOT of buffs. Reduce snipe charge from 1.4 to 1.3, boost her normal shooting dps, bring back slows to the mines and make the teleporter instant.
Perhaps give her some of her sniper spots back. If it’s that much of an issue, give other characters the ability to go after her without being absurdly loud.

Ok coward who plays a pussy made champion who can flee any battle she wants and come back after she's fully healed.
Maeve and Zhin are some of the few flanks that can actually deal with Strix.
For Zhin, if he throws flare, just pull out counter same as for if he ults since if I remember his counter can send a no u to Strix' flashbang(simply making it useless just like the fact that Zhin can give Raum a no u to his ult with his counter) but I don't fully remember.
For Maeve(It's in PC btw, If I know you're a console Maeve main) is a different story, good Maeves can deal with average or even some few good Strixes in most of the times, but average or good Strixes maybe even the mediocre ones literally fk bad Maeves(Maeves(players) that are shit, still in PC because in console hitscans are alway a crutch no matter how good you're with a non hitscan champ like Maeve or Zhin) in most ways.

fking shot maeve just ONCE and she will use her pounce two times to run away like a bitch, I've never faced a maeve that stood to fight or using her pounce to attack or at least to avoid the attacks, all what they do is right click, Q and right click ;)
For me (a Nintendo switch lvl 75 Maeve main with 0 aim) it`s way easier to deal with a kinessa then a strix, couse strix ALWAYS gets the first shot and even if i get him low, he goes invisible, I try to flee and the hitbox fricks me up.

That’s interesting. Our Kinessa actually plays as Close Combat distraction. He maxed into Ult, uses instant teleports, and only uses the SMG mode. We tend to not need a flank because of it. This is quite a different view to me and I’m sure we’re in the minority

As a *veteran* kinessa main, level 73. (My highest level champ)
*Kinessa is really fkn good* if you know how to play her. (Imo better than strix)
Advices :
- Quick Scope is a skill you should muster for any sniper in any game.
- There is no accuracy loss with jump shots in this game, so master Jump shots.
- ALWAYS use reposition Talent if you feel their flanks( or off-tank flanks) will give you hard time, other than that use any Talent.
> *Reposition is the safest and best talent (IMO).*
- Using reposition opened a flanking option if you think you're good enough.
- You shouldn't keep scoping a flanking maeve. Do : Quick scopes, dodge their shots (reposition if you have the coldown), quick scopes, dodge their shots.
- You don't have to wait full charge to start shooting at ANYTHING, your safety is your priority. This gives you faster shot than strix in a 1v1 situation. > Full charge first, then 3/4 or less charge to kill strix. (Faster PEEK SHOTS)
(Usually strix will go invis if you shot him first, wait until he shoots at something then snipe him again afterwards)
- ALWAYS pause your activity if you hear footsteps of flanks, and pre-scope at the path they're coming.
- Primary targets are : Flanks > Support > Damage > Tanks/shield/deployables.
>Card to use -> I dont use reposition CDR with hipfire shots card, but I always use Health card after reposition. It's necessary min lvl.3.

- Moji
- Androxus ( I always happy whenever I get to play nessa and there's enemy andro )
> They often use 'Q" after you used reposition, and you can time when it's going down, get an easy shot.

- Good Evie
- Good Maeve
- Good (loadout) Zhin

- Flanking Koa (once you get distance, headshotting him very easy)
- Inara (hitboxes actually small and DR is a pain in the ass)
- Terminus, Atlas (infinite shield)

Im a Strix main and its sad to see the hitboxes. It feels bad to get kills at this point. I want to kill others because my aim/skill is good not because some useless bastard was too lazy to make normal hitboxes.

This goes for non sniper characters too, getting a kill with makoa by hitting the ground they walk on isn’t very satisfying...

Also, it's not engaging to play him for me. I used to love Strix but I think he just needs some balance changes. Perhaps nerfing his ammo count.

I was a Nessa main back in OB64 days and soon after. I found that Nessa was really enjoyable to play, even up close and personal if you had access to; scope in speed, scope move speed, shoot to refresh tp and heal on tp at level 5.
I don't mind the fact that I can't have all those, the thing that did it for me was when they increased the scope zoom. Now my old Nessa play style makes me want to throw up.

Honestly when they increased the zoom of Strix's scope, they should've left Kinessa's scope zoom as it was, 'cause it's harder than ever to hit flanks.
Plus, her mines don't slow anymore. I don't even remotely understand why. They should slow, and reveal like Vivian's, giving her a way to defend herself. Plus, if you got a 0.5s stun every time you landed a headshot with her sniper rifle, and got the old 20% carbine bonus damage on targets slowed by your mines, she would be on Strix's level of good, especially if she could go back to reaching trees and rooftops.

But even Overwatch didn’t follow that philosophy and added Moira and she was, uh, “powerful” for a year or two before getting some nerfs. Moira was pretty darn easy and effective.
