    I was wondering how does one use an e-nail file on themselves. Mine always slips or ends up cutting me. How do you maintain such steadiness? Slow or fast speed? I had no idea they make left hand and right hand bits...so every time you switch sides you need to change bits? Gahlee....when to go fwd vs reverse is still confusing to me. Should it change when you switch hands?

    I bought your peach base and milky white and was so excited to try them out. I did not wash my hands prior and prepped them as you recommended. A week later some nails were soft in other words there was some give in them and they would bend a little. The tip of the nail or corners (coffin style) was very flexible and the sticky base would separate from my nail bed at the tip/corners. Any advice as to why this is happening or how to prevent it? Thanks!

    I have just started doing gel polish nail, and will be starting to use build up base. I am right handed. So when I use my left hand to remove the top coat on my right hand I should put the drill in reverse? Are all bits hand specific or just the kind with teeth?

    I'm so glad you posted start to finish. I use your peach base, your desert rose is just perfect . My question is I noticed you applied the base underneath your nail. When I cure my gel, do I flip my nails to cure under Thank you !

    • @nailthoughts
      @nailthoughts  3 роки тому +2

      You can! I never do just because it pretty much cures even if i don’t flip it! Probably depends on your light though

    Hello 😊how can you be allergic to the dust but not the product? Is it just when inhaling it that it's a problem?

    • @nailthoughts
      @nailthoughts  3 роки тому

      Dust in general makes my throat hurt and eyes hurt now. Even when i dust at home i had to start wearing a mask 😷

    Hi! I watched your video on tips to prevent lifting but had a question as I was watching this tutorial! How does your process change if you are working with a nail that has lifted in a spot that you were planning on building upon by keeping the base? Would you start over completely and soak the nail?

    • @nailthoughts
      @nailthoughts  3 роки тому

      Yep! I would just file off the lifting and make everything as flat as possible to rebuild again!

    • @robynspitzer7395
      @robynspitzer7395 3 роки тому

      @@nailthoughts Thank you for replying!! You would file just the lifted area even if it was at the top of the nail or side (vs. the bottom)? With your efile or with the hand file?

    So fun! I love all my nail thoughts gels. I ordered some bits from Erica’s and now I’m worried I needed to have gotten one for each hand?! Do you need to change out the cuticle bits too?

    • @nailthoughts
      @nailthoughts  3 роки тому +2

      Yes!!!! Amazing! Good news is cuticle bits are usually diamond bits and those are for both left and right handed ppl cause they don’t have teeth! If they have teeth and they are tilted a certain way it usually means it’s for a certain hand and won’t work as well if it’s rotating the wrong way. Hope that made sense! 🙈

    Do you need clear base before colored base?

    • @nailthoughts
      @nailthoughts  5 днів тому

      Totally optional! Sometimes i do if the tinted base is super pigmented for easy filing off , but if the base color is pretty light , i just put it straight on the nail!

    • @gabbagooll
      @gabbagooll 5 днів тому

      @ I just purchased your clear builder gel. Am I able to use any gel color on top of this? Including a tinted base or would you not recommend to do this?
