MacNaught K32 pistol grip or K40 lever style grease guns have a housing that take those smaller grease cartridges, They are 400g as opposed to 450g cartridge like in the K29. No more loading with a spoon or spatula or by hand. Just take the caps off the cartridge & put it in and let the follower & spring do its job. You can still bulk load them if you turn the rubber follower around but cartridges & a few different grease guns are the go I reckon. I put a colored cable tie around the coupling hose that matches the color/type of grease. They do bleed oil out of the grease over time so I keep mine hanging in a 20L paint bucket.
Cheers for those tips Dusty, and will chase up one of those guns too...
all are good grease guns and all about the same price, good tip with the zips and the bucket, i place mine in a piece of pvc down pipe tied to the shed wall myself, out of the sun so it doesn't get to hot to bleed the oils out with a rag wrapped around it
the winch setup looks good but possibly turn the bolts around on the bullbar brackets so that the heads are against the motor for the winch instead of the threads. also Sidney tools has that cartridge grease gun at a good price, Mac naught K29-01 450g Grease Flexigun. if you are looking for a really nice pistol grip style, high pressure grease gun that takes standard 450g cartridges. I've used this type for years and they're hard to beat.
JC great tip on turning those bolts around, and will look into that grease gun.. Thanking you...
Often heard of people drilling a small "relief" hole in the welch plugs on those yokes so that over greasing doesnt blow them out on compression.
You should only grease those sliding spline yokes 3 pumps of the grease gun. People over fill them until the grease shows out the end or the two halves of the tailshaft start moving apart. Then when they compress they hydraulic lock the grease & push that cap out, you can even push that cap out with a grease gun if you overdo it. You can see the grease spooging out of that one because that's whats happened there.
Are those tyres 31x10.50r15 and will 33x10.50r15 Maxxis Razr MT fit and do you know about availability ?
Tyres on dual cab are 33 10.5 15 on a 15x7 rim, couple of years ago when I got them I believe there was very limited stock for 15inch rims..

What do you do for new front drive shafts that require a higher angle.of operation? I lifted my 106 and at full droop my cardan joint binds amd cant rotate.
I put high pinion 80series centres in mine, with a longer spline shaft..
@@TeamBulletOffroad ah okay thanks, I went high pinion center as well and I think I'm right on the edge of tolerance.
Didnt you try to sell this at one point?
Yes I did, and I just couldn't do it, its a special truck this one, keeping it for the kids..
Another amazing contact, love the lil projects you do in upgrading your vehicles and testing it to make sure it does the job
