    This makes me so sad coz:
    1. Corruption on our continent makes business such a hassle
    2. Lack of knowledge - she should have gotten in touch with her embassy / high commission in Nigeria
    3. The horrible way we treat the dignity of life: parents love your kids!!!!
    4. The sad reality that a godless life leads to misery and unfulfilment!

    Her story was really touching. I learned so many things but i will say two. She talks about the fact that love begins with loving your creator and sex. That sex is so spiritual and emphasized on it's consequences. Many youths today have exchanged their birthrights for just a one night stand, most especially the ladies. We should be careful with the people we give out our bodies to and this giving is not only a lady, it's on both sides. A cameroonian following from Abu Dhabi.

    I feel for her and what she has been through and am happy for her recovery. But I also feel like this episode is aimed at stigmatizing Nigerians with the host's unusual emphasis on the country and its "Nigerians" as if that's where all the bad things started happening to her. If you are in a vulnerable situation and find yourself in a big city, chances are you meet with devourers, Nigeria or not. Lagos is a megacity where you can find anything. Your experience may have been different in another city and probably another situation. I'm Nigerian and I work closely with Kenyans and we think highly and respectfully of each other. I hope your public show can also highlight that kind of relationship as well.

I won’t go beyond that but I can’t lie and say I personally had bad experiences with said nationality. I also have been to Nigeria. All this to say I don’t think they meant anything shady. No, women have a hard time taking accountability for THEIR actions. The world doesn't owe anyone anything. There are consequences to all the decisions we make in this life. For both men and women. That kind of feminist mentality that "the world is unfair to women" is extremely extremely regressive.

    Hi Cynthia. Thank you for a good programme and fir your guest. It’s about time we seriously focus on Women Empowerment. Also creating platforms based scenarios already experienced by women in distress. For example teaching about Embassies should one get stuck in a foreign nation. But locally just empower women to open business, etc so that they’re not fooled by lime light. Women are capable and able, they’re not commodities to be exploited by men.

    This is really tragic and unfortunate, that women will have to go through things like that. I'm American, and I'm starting to love and appreciate African culture my roots. But this is scary stuff, African men get a stigma for control and abuse, witchcraft, prostitution, scammers etc... Good Lord help me to not lass judgment

    This is soo sad. But in a case were a foreigner loses their passport, isn't going to your country embassy the first place you should go?

  • @leechjune
    @leechjune 2 роки тому +1

    Ah... There is no Kenyan Embassy/High Commission in Nigeria? 🤔. If you are stranded in a foreign land, common sense first thing to do is to go to your embassy. Also first thing you do when you land in a foreign land is register your presence at the embassy/high commission. Just a tip for anyone who doesn't know this sensible act yet. Make your presence, intentions and plans for stay etc known at your embassy. You will be surprised how much this goes a long way!
