      1 Corinthians 1:18
For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Anyone who does not repent of their LGBTQ tendencies and choose Christ alone in faith alone will perish in hell.
And friends as a believer in Christ I do not isolate those particular acts as their own abomination. For it is also written that those who cheat on their wife and sleep around and commit heterosexual sexual immorality are also perishing.
      1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be DECEIVED. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, [10] nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
God does not separate anything apart from the other and puts them all together as equally damning.

Hi Everyone. Ok. Here is what SALVATION is all about. We come as we are, and GOD Accepts us as we are, in our sin nature. HOWEVER, you are disobeying GOD if you think you can STAY in your sin. THAT IS PRIDE! GOD HATES PRIDE !!! No matter what sin we commit, we are to confess this to GOD, and let THE HOLY SPIRIT change you. You can't remain in your rebellious sin any longer, and believe you will be Saved !!

For decades I was open to the Holy Spirit to change my sexual orientation. I prayed for years to be changed, I studied scripture to understand, I was subjected to torturous aversion therapy to change my desires, and I was forced to go to therapy that demeaned my personhood and told me I was going to hell unless I changed. For decades I was celibate and I pretended I was straight, but trough all those years Jesus never saw fit to change me; rather, Jesus loved me, embraced me, led me to good therapists and other loving Christians who helped me to realize that God made gay and loved me just the way I am … that being gay wasn’t an identity that bothered Jesus, or a sinful behavior so long as it was lived within the marriage covenant. And, to that end, Jesus gave me a beautiful, loving, affirming, gracious, and moral man to love and cherish in marriage. God blessed our marriage, and has also blessed our affirming ministry to and with the LGBTQ community.

@@revneal I have to say something here. First of all, everybody sins. Even born-again Christians. Homosexuality is no different than any other sin in the general sense (lying, stealing, etc.). The problem is that when we say: "God didn't change me" or "God made me gay", we are saying that God made us sinners. If you don't agree that homosexuality is wrong, I urge you to look at Scripture. The Bible says that homosexual acts are wrong, there is simply no debate. What is NOT a sin is temptation (Jesus Himself was tempted). The sin is GIVING IN to the temptations. When we are saved through faith, we are redeemed indeed, but our sin does not vanish from our flesh, and the flesh is weak. We must die to our sin and not conform to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2). I'm sorry the church has mistreated you. But homosexual union is, by biblical definition, not a marriage. Jesus Himself said this in Mark 10: "But from the beginning of the creation God made them MALE AND FEMALE. FOR THIS CAUSE shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be ONE FLESH: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.". As the Bible says, same-sex union is a violation of the natural order. Therefore, it is sin. HOWEVER, there is salvation in Jesus Christ. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and cleanses us of all unrighteousness.". God WILL forgive you of ANY sin, if you repent and believe in His power to heal all affliction, "For whoever calls upon the name of the LORD shall be saved". Peace and blessings be on you, friend.

@yamatee5699 What you say here is inaccurate for several reasons. Firstly, people in Greco-Roman Palestine had no concept of homosexuality as a sexual orientation, and people in the Bronze Age even less so. That's because sex wasn't a consensual expression of love but something people did to others: specifically, something men did to women. This is why we have prohibitions about "lying with a man as with a woman"; for men to take a subordinate position (literally) was to violate a hierarchy of domination and penetration. (This was equally true of men who assumed the passive position with their own wives.) Also, the quotation from Jesus is entirely about divorce and nothing whatever to do with who was supposed to participate in a relationship.

First off the marriage covenant is only between 1 man and 1 woman. Yes there was polygamy blah blah.
So you were fighting your sin(celibate for years? Good job that is the right thing). And then you found some fools that co-signed your sins as actually good?
Wow how surprising… you could find people to say doing heroin is good and from God(I did)…. You could find people that say ped0philia is good and from God. SO WHAT? US MEN ARE FALLABLE.
The scriptures from God/Christ are clear. It is sin, it will drag you to hell and God will say “get away from me you worker on inequity!”
Especially you leading a phony Gay Protestant “church”.
Go to a real church. The Holy Orthodox Church. Crucify your flesh, pick up your cross. Become a hermit or a monk….SAVE YOUR SOUL. FEAR GOD!!!! For the demons do and they tremble

@@revnealHe changed mine.(Sexual desires/orientation) I see some Christians who have turned and repented from this sin (anything LGBTQ related) but they daily crucify their flesh in this area and flee from the temptation. I pray God does for them what He did for me.
I asked God to change my desires and a friend prayed for me to hate what He hates. Those unnatural desires went away for me during prayer and fasting as well as pornography use.
He hates sin and He did not give you your gay marriage. I look back on my time with the same sex with disgust now and I'd never want to go back to it. Maybe you were being called to live celibate or maybe if you had kept waiting on the Lord, He would have changed your desires too. I get it's hard not to get weary in waiting seasons.
You were supposed to flee from that temptation, not yolk it to your identity and decide that's who you are. It'd be like an alcoholic being tempted to drink and then saying well I guess this is just who I am and it can't be helped. And ppl coached you and told you it was ok to pick up the bottle..

    Romans 3:23-24 NIV
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus”.
10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. “
    2 Corinthians 5:10
10…we will all stand before the judgment seat of God; 11 for it is written,
“As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall confess to God.”
12 So then each of us will give an account of himself to God. Romans 14:10-12
…And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, Hebrews 9:27
Good News is… “16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, Jesus that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him”. John 3:16-17

Why stop at 1 Cor 6:9-10… guess no one cares about verse 11.. and the whole message that Paul keeps preaching about. And why not actually go to the original Hebrew and Greek bibles instead of reading NIV and whatever other Bible that was rewritten by people who did not even understand what homosexuality was to begin with. How about we go back to Revelation and read what happens to those who change the words of the Bible. Talk about false theology… these are the people who will say .. didn’t we prophecy in your name… and we already know what Jesus said to that… please stop spreading false gospel and taking verses out of context. All in Jesus Christ are justified and saved.

If you do not see your sin as against God and refuse repentance, you will die in sin, hostile to God damned at death.
I get sexual sin. I had a MASSIVE porn and lust addiction. But without i ow how to change i simply trust Christ. In time i came out of it. Slowly. But only in Christ can that be possible. The unregenerate will NEVER save them selves from sin. You need a savior. Not just for heaven but for sanctification.

Lust and porn is not the same as homosexuality. That’s one thing that heterosexual people will never understand. @@theavataradventure1303 - Very much approved by Jesus. I was born gay, a condition Jesus didn’t find in any way a problem otherwise he would have graciously answered my 30 years of prayers and self-denial by changing my sexual orientation. Instead of doing that, Jesus confirmed that he loves me, made me as I am, and had a husband for me that I would meet, fall in love with, and marry. And, now, my husband and I are in ministry with a wonderful church where we are affirmed and where the Gospel of Jesus Christ - salvation by grace through faith, not by the works of keeping the law or becoming straight or not being gay - is preached and affirmed, the marginalized are centered, and the love of God for all is proclaimed.

@@revnealThe Bible presents a clear design for marriage. Jesus referenced Genesis when He described marriage:
Genesis 2:24 "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh."
Matthew 19:4-6 "He answered, 'Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.'"
Then the Bible addresses sexual immorality and calls Christians to purity 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 and Romans 1:26-27 “For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.”
As Christians we should deny ourselves and follow Christ, this requires self denial and taking up one's cross, as He instructs in Matthew 16:24-25 then God calls us to holiness and obedience to His commands, even when it conflicts with personal desires, 1 Peter 1:15-16 and Hebrews 12:14.

Firstly, I'm a Christian and ... yes ... I'm gay. So, going out the gate, your statement is false. Secondly, the Scriptural references you are citing simply do NOT address the question of modern homosexuality, and certainly not as it is practiced by Christians who are gay and married in monogamous same-sex unions. In the ancient world, same-sex practices were not about mutuality, consent, and love, but about subjugation, power, and control. The scriptural references are made within the context of a completely different world-view about what sexuality, its practice and place within society, and matters of dominance and power. Hence, those passages simply don't apply today. Additionally, the translation you are citing is horrible, doesn't convey the sense, meaning, or wording of the Greek original of 1 Corinthians 6:9, and should not be used as a weapon in any case for it certainly wasn't intended by Paul as such.
