When you said I like the focus to be on nature... I guess so... with that glorious vista of mature trees surrounding your property!!! I would die to have the backyard view. I remember when you did that pea gravel patio. What an absolutely stunning and affordable space. Its amazing what sweat equity can accomplish. I also love indoor hanging baskets with spilling florals. I have one on my kitchen door that I just change the florals seasonally. Currently for spring I have some silver gray stems with two Victorian magazines with blue and white covers sticking out.. and one faux orange carrot for Easter!. Blue and orange is one of my favorite color combinations. I was crushing on the one over your stove with the winter greens and gold bells! Its on my list ! And I do use spring/garden books as decor also. I have a patio table right off my kitchen that I leave an open garden book, a pair of pretty little floral garden gloves, a straw hat and a printed little garden spade and trowel. Just the visual makes me happy! I take my cup of coffee out there and it feels like spring!

I love your Spring/Summer vibe. I could almost smell Summer through the TV. 😁. One note of caution though - have you tested your vintage wooden slatted door panels for lead? If those doors have leaded paint, they will shed lead dust into your basil and rosemary. It only takes a microscopic amount of lead to poison a human. 💛. Love your videos, and I’m always excited when you post a new one!!

You always do such a beautiful arrangement. In the warmer months I like to use lighter greenery as I find it fresh and gives me a cool feeling (in the Aussie summers). My favourite stems are maiden hair ferns, begonia greens, citrus greens, white and green hydrangeas of different sizes, white tulips and larger frilly tulips (not sure of their name). ❤

Hi Jenna! Always love a video from you! Can you share the florals (?) in the bottle vase in your entryway on the bench? I love the sparseness of them but maybe you are just showing a similar floral in your description box? In Wisconsin that's how all our plants look like now! 🤣 And this weekend we are getting a winter storm coming through! Ugh! And I have a tulip wreath on my outside door! One can hope!

However, I do agree that this video feels a bit repetitive on the same tips and tricks that were previously covered in more recent videos. I don’t know if you’re looking for a road trip, but Decorah, IA has gorgeous gardens at Seed Savers although Southern Seed Exchange at Monticello might be closer to your backyard. I think you would love the garden designs with both florals and edible plants.
