Love the vlog! I was there (met you not long before Day 2 noon vlog and talked with you about how the podcast got me through the pandemic), and watching this brought me right back and showed me new cool things I missed. I’d recommend doing these if you have the time for those of us who may not be able to make it especially-get a taste of what it was like. Regardless, thanks for sharing, and thanks for being awesome!
I visited Chicago a lot as a kid, and it was a lot of fun, especially going to the museums and the aquarium. I'm glad you had a crazy good time during your travels and meeting everyone you could. Sorry you got a bug while you were there. Hope you're feeling better.
Maybe you can make a future one. This was just a fun way to show people what went down at this one. There were still several things I didn't get to cover.
@@PowrDragn Yeah I hope so. I went to Philly last year, which was a blast. But, even after two days at that Con, I couldn’t fit in everything I wanted to do, so I know what that’s like.
For my UA-cam members there were daily vlog updates throughout the show weekend. I generally don't do a ton of non-gameplay stuff outside of card/set review stuff because it doesn't really draw views. This is one I just wanted to try something different with and see if it can draw over the longterm. I do have a few other things coming down the pipe though.
I feel you. There were a ton of people and a ton of lines for many things. Even with...40 artists I think it was...most of them still had lines each day.
Could not make Chicago - but Hopeing to hit Vagas in October. I know we will run into each other again - but Sat after the WOTC party or what ever I was hoping a bunch of us can link up to do some Karaoke close to the convention center. LEt me know if that can be thing and all content creators invited type deal. I Know Anna Margaret is down and trying to recruit more :) Let's Do this!
I know folks did some karaoke at the House of Blues in Chicago, so people will be up for it. I personally wouldn't stay too long. Maybe long enough to be friendly and social with everyone and then bounce. Convention weekends are long, loud, and I talk to a LOT of people. Gotta conserve my voice sometimes to get through the weekend.
I do not, but I think the day/time might change from event to even depending on what all is on the schedule. I'm sure you can find footage of it online by now though.
For some people it is. Like any convention, some people just show up for one aspect of it. But there's a lot going on: meet & greets with community folks, game knights live, fun VIP stuff, tons of artists, lots of vendors, various creators filming things you can be part of, the pro tour coverage is on site, speaker panels on various topics, etc.
Actually, it was a nice airy space and there was minimal funk, if any, among the attendees. Lots of families/adults/professionals that cared about that sort of thing.
Aaahhh, thank you for the shout! That was me handing out the rat colony bracelets
The rat colony was large.

Glad you enjoyed it. We'll see how folks respond to it. I don't expect it to draw a ton of views, but it was a fun project.

It was totally worth it. Part it was a raspy voice from talking to soooo many people for soooo long. Totally fun experience, even with that. :)
Thanks a ton for sharing! This looked rad, but I sadly couldn’t make this Con.

Nice to see some non deck building content. Nice editing too. Thumbs up.

Very cool to see vlogs. Glad you had so much fun! This is a kind of event I want to attend some day in the future
It was fun. Busy, and tiring, but worth it. 🙂
aw, good old chicago weather. fun to hear about your experience!
It was 40-ish degrees most of the weekend. Only got down to 25 and snowed on Friday night. Rest of the weekend, you didn't even need a coat really.
Was awesome to meet you man, you were as chill and cool in person as you are in your videos.
I try to deliver an autentic experience if nothing else. :)
Man, would of loved to run into you, but I was waiting in line for multiple hours to meet the artists!
Honestly, I'd rather meet the artists. Some of them would blow me away to see their original works in person.

I have responsibilities that keep me from joining, even though I live right next door in Indiana....
Nothing wrong with that. Gotta take care of other life stuff first.

Do you know what day Game Knights did their live event?
I do not, but I think the day/time might change from event to even depending on what all is on the schedule. I'm sure you can find footage of it online by now though.
@ yes I’ve seen it! I just wanted to plan out my days there & didn’t want to miss it. Thankyou!
This video makes me think that this convention is just a bunch of people meeting up to play magic. Lol

I can smell the BO through the screen. Kidding!
