I am currently in the process of trying to make female friends and it's crazy.lol For me it's not the age but the fact I'm an introvert so I have to MAKE myself be social.
Im the same way with friendships, I think that a lot are focused quantity vs quality relationships. People called my weird for not having tons of friends, but Im perfectly fine with the handfull I have, but Im open to building new relationship as long as its done organically. Im still learning how to hold myself accountable for making sure I show up for them the way they show up for me. While giving them and myself grace❤❤❤❤

You’re not weird for having a few. Even if I had a ton of friends, I would be a bad one as I wouldn’t have time or make time to meet all of them. And isn’t that what friendships are about? They’re work, too just like any relationship. So I rather have a few and good ones on which I can spend my time. Because I need a lot of me-time!! Besides, I have problems with names 🤣🤣🤣 I couldn’t even remember all their names 😁

This is so crazy that you posted this video today because I literally just got finished making a profile on the Bumble BFF app! I’ve realized yesterday that between a busy life and people moving and me getting furloughed from my job back in 2020 and then lockdown, etc, etc, I’ve lost touch with all my girlfriends! Someone on Instagram had mentioned they signed up on the Bumble BFF app and had made a couple new friends so I thought Why Not?? What a coincidence that you picked this topic to chat about 🙃🙃
I have two good friends but I've noticed the people I meet now are not friends they want to use me or talk about me it's to childish so no new friends for me I'm always the better friend I pay for everything call to check up on everyone I guess I will be patient and wait on God you look so nice
I completely understand and have experienced this myself. If you have 2 good genuine friends I think you’re doing good, that’s a blessing!
I think being open to new friends doesn’t mean you automatically go into it giving your all! Truly take your time and get to know the person and only give what you’d be comfortable loosing (money, time and everything in between)

Most of friendships/sisterhoods are long term (15-40 years) its important like you said to check in with people because everyone is going thru something either big or small. Spend quality time with them, stay in touch and stay connected.
It’s such a blessing to have good long term friendships like that!

I've also had to mature from being hurt by people who didn't value me as much as I valued them. Now that I'm 47, (48 next month) I come truly value GOOD GIRLFRIENDS!!! I have 3 solid friends that I spend time with and do girls trip with them. I just recently started going to happy hours with coworkers and allowing myself to meet new people. Last weekend I reconnected with an old friend who I hadn’t seen since 2011…she was my highschool best friend and after we both got married just fell off. It was great to see her again and found out she bought a house in my neighborhood!!! ☺️😊

But I lost a few along the way,we just grew apart or that just had some bad ways that I was no longer able to put up with. I just moved to a New state and it would be nice to meet some new girlfrens. This one right here hit different because I had one bestfriend form high school but had to end that 3 yrs ago due to her been to toxic and other things, Her time ended with me because I have no tolerance for foolishness and she has cause many issues with business matter I've had. I have my cousin but that not the same as having girlfriends. I did want to start hanging out with other women but there always a but I have no idea about! I'm a women with a Big personality, love hard and I love everything to do with fashion. Just giving a little about myself, I'm a attention grabber that doesn't seek it. But there this energy I don't understand that comes from some women. I love to see women win but then there's a vibe that's all wrong coming from them and I'm okay with that. I have so many co-worker that love the sight of me and that so cute and tickles me but I would like to have new friends.

Honestly, I wear what I love and what I feel good in. If your cellulite bothers you that bad I’d say wear Bermuda shorts or a kimono with the shorts so you don’t feel like they are on display

Old doll no new friends even the older friends are the worst. People are just about myself and my own. Friendship give and take all about just associates. Once young now old people are just about themselves it's not worst it to me.
