One of the best Sufi composition; sung magnificently by Nooran Sisters and played equally beautifully by the musicians. Hats off to Baba Bulleh Shah and all of you guys! Thanks so much for this. :-)
I am so glad they retained Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Sahib’s iconic rendition of Allah Hoo at the end. Was it just me who noticed that Sultana was effortlessly managing the pitch while jyoti made it look like hard work :) Sultana was also enjoying the piece way more.. Those moves were awesome.. going along the rhythm!!! A huge fan of the sisters :)
Sultana was dancing more effortless. Sultana has a more high pitched voice and hence it was easier for her. Jyoti has a more bass voice and hence the pitch was more of an effort for her. Plus she had more heavy lifting to do in terms of taan/ murkhi. Jyoti is the more accomplished singer and hence gets to sing the more complex bits in the song.
