Good video dude. I’m new to the game and always appreciate watching deck building videos and the ideas behind them. This looks like a fun deck. Will certainly give it a go when I get my hands on these cards!
How would you feel about a blurple burn deck. Going maleficent 1, sail + maleficent on 2, Yzma/Genie on 3. Refill. As an example. And playing a card like visions, we have plenty draw, search tools to cycle the deck and find the burn/bounce (gathering knowledge, goats, white rose) and playing tipo/sail we have the ink to play/bounce as well.
@@tristandeboer7315 could definitely be worth exploring, even playing genie on 4 can put pressure on the opponent. I just don’t know if pairing purple with blue is better than yellow or red for a deck idea like that. Would love to find out though!
Feel like those burn decks are kind of close to being mono amethyst anyways. Trying to figure out which bit of color I want to add. Ramp/cycle from blue, bit of control from red of draw from grey (with doc). They were close to being good last set and with diablo, genie, yzma, white rose. There should be something here, that is top tier 2 of close tier 1, I think..
I really believe this will eventually be top tier its so closeeee My friends have been making fun of me lol but im sure its close! i love the genie that shutsdown allexerted characters and anna that exerts all characters im trying to incorporate the merlin to search hopefully soon we get it there !!
@@olafostorva8033 was a big fan of genie last set, was even able to post some results at SCG tour in Tampa. Unfortunately I think he’s too slow in the current meta if you are going for a super competitive list. For a local I would 100 percent throw genie in there for fun one night lol
@@ProfessorBloke this card has actually come up a couple of times but I personally don’t like it for these reasons. - Ideally we want to ramp on 2 and play a 4 drop the following turn so this becomes an inefficient play after tipo. - sacrificing a character is a bigger detriment to blurple because you need the characters to be able to contest the board - outside of tipo I don’t think there are any characters I would want to put in my inkwell in this build, since all of our one drops we want to draw us cards or at least go 1for1 with our opponents card. - lastly, his effect is mandatory so if you top deck him late game he has to put himself into the inkwell which is essentially just a 3 cost oja I could be wrong on him but due to those reasons he has never interested me. I know he’s inkable and his stat line is ok but I would almost always rather have both a goat/genie plus tipo on t3.
sorry if dumb question, how do u not auto lose to aggro, steelsong and green steel? my experience at my locals playing the previous iteration of this deck has been very painful, havent won any game, i started with the genie list then i took it out but didnt notice any improvement, i had game where my opp opened with consecutives let the storm rage on and that was basically it, is there a reason u dont play the cost 5 aurora that gives ward ? im sorry if i ranted im trying to stay positive and have fun despite no wins but its been hard. thanks for all the insights
@@TheGeekSquid there is definitely a lot of nuance with the deck. Aggro in prior sets was always an easier matchup due to Crabs and foxes while ramping. You have to know when to start questing and put the pressure on them, cards like Elsa to shut the door very fast were also super important. For Steelsong it’s hard on the draw but very very winnable on the play due to the Cinderella storm line, if you are on the play then you should never leave a 2 or less health character up early game if they start cindy(outside of tipo). Green steel was hard but the last list I was running with pinnochios, shadow finders, and Great stone dragon helped a lot. Hopefully this helps it’s hard to condense all of the points into a post like this maybe I could run through mulligan and ink decisions with the deck in following video.
Surprised you ditched hades. I just love the character removal with hades and the potential game swing it provides. Peter Pan rush idea is nice now with genie. Wondered about doing that in the past and new card’s definitely make it seem possible. Hopefully yzma is as good as it seems like she should be. One of your other videos you used Pinocchio- talkative puppet and that was key for me winning set champ so thanks for the tip on that.
@@upstartrelic4219 yeah I do think hades could eventually come back this is just where I wanted to start. Happy to hear you were able to take down a set champ with blurple! I’ve always loved pinnochio but I wanted to trim as many uninkables as possible to make sure I can always use azurite sea and not have to ink cards I really didn’t want to. -Hazed
@@emerald1476 mufasa I think is unfortunately too slow, I’d love to fit him back in but there is just so many things that can deal with him efficiently in the meta right now. Ursula could eventually come back but at the moment I don’t think so.

Curious your thoughts on Pleakley. It has Donald’s stats and looks like it would feel good after Tipo.

Thoughts on Mufasa and Ursula in this deck ?
