Wow! Forestry equipment sure has come a long way. I remember my great grandfather telling me stories of when he was a lumberjack. This looks a lot more fun then what he described.
Still not any less dangerous. But still has the problem with environmentalist not liking logging but hate when the woods burst into flames because of careless people or a lightning strike.
Every tree that comes down is that % of air scrubbing our planet has lost. Trees scrub the air and make oxygen! They breathe in carbon dioxide. We can't live without them.

The world needs to expand existing animal habitats on both land and in the oceans by 100x. Too much development of the land is taking away animal and natural habitats and too much fishing and netting is destroying and depleting the ocean. The human population has doubled since 1980s and it is continuing to grow out of control at a logarithmic rate. See the world population websites if you don't agree. Our planet has not grown to adjust to the human growth, so we as humans must learn how to balance our population and our dedicated land for Farming and living for humans, and habitats for animals. We must do this now before it is too late, and the passage of time and human greed erases all animal and natural habitats. Most people are narrow minded and think we can just live together however man in most all scenarios destroy habitats so there is no living together side by side. Natural and animal habitats must be protected and increased in size or the only animals we will have left are on farms and zoos.
@@hossmoss8577 LOL do the research man. Just because you say something does not mean it is true. The population in the US has doubled since 1982 and is expected to double again by 2042.

@@general5104 more animal habitats will help with this. We do need to get away from fossil fuels, but this is economically difficult as all ships, most trains, all trucks, and a good bit of the electricity requires fossil fuels. Also, many garments and products are made from fossil fuels.
I like the first one. These loggers should have to get rid of all those stumps to give the forest all the room it needs to restore itself. Plus all those wood chips feed the old forest floor. I think woods days are numbered anyhow. So many new and better materials are coming out that soon it won't make economic sense to log and replant timber land. They'll finally alow it all to go wild again. Hope it happens sooner rather than later.
Im surprised i didnt see the Tigercat LX870D on this list, its the go too machine for steep ground and large wood. The only machine that comes close is the John Deere 959m, we have one with a SouthStar QS630 processing head and it does pretty good for what it is. But the only thing the John Deere has over the Tigercat is the Deere has 26° of forward tilt angle and the Tigercat only has 20° of forward tilt angle. Other then that the Tigercat handles itself alot better then that tall/tippy Deere.
If you are trying to drum up USA sales, you need to give USA units, foot-pound, feet, yards, sort of stuff. I suspect you are reading off spec sheets which give both figures, so it would be simple enough.

more machines to cut down perfectly healthy trees. The one they showed was just chipping up a tree minding it's own, no threat to anything and it was healthy.
@@chancedavis6216 BS, I live near a paper mill and know many log drivers and workers, paper mills do not want anything than pine trees because they use the sap so these clowns were cutting down and just chipping those healthy trees to just get rid of them for no reason
Most of the time, these machines are used for cutting down trees that are grown specifically to be cut down. In a way, it's no different than growing crops on a field. Notice how perfectly straight most of these trees are; that's by design. Hope this cleared some things up for you!
