Fun fact: Mordekaiser is one of the only people who aren't a yordle to know how to get to Bandle City. They did a big event for Viego, but Mordekaiser genuinely makes him look like a push over.

Twice slain: First as a mortal man, then when he was betrayed by LeBlanc and the rest of the Black Rose [which Vladimir is a member of], which, unbeknownst to them, was already part of Mordekaiser's plan. Thrice born: His birth as a mortal, and both times he went to the afterlife Also worth mentioning; Mordekaiser had two demons as pets, one of which is the demon of fire that inhabits Annie's teddy bear; It's possible that the big claw thing in the artwork is the other, though it could just be there for no reason other than looking cool Mordekaiser is at least on par with the Aspects of the Celestial Realm and likely even the Ascendants/Darkin, purely based on his ability to A) come back in his undeath and B) conquer a good chunk of Runeterra not once, but twice. There are many reasons why Noxus was built around the Immortal Bastion, and the Noxian idealized qualities of "vision, might, and guile" [destiny, domination, and deceit] offer the idea that despite Noxus being founded by the tribes that rebelled against him (and the Black Rose), Mordekaiser's sheer single-handed might inspired those who utterly reviled and feared him to practice such methods, which have apparently worked for the thousand-or-so years since his second death, despite being rather watered down ["Noxians claim strength? Pathetic"]. Plus, I mean, my mans became a god of death all on his own.
@@TheAzorg It's possible, but in Legends of Runeterra, it's somewhat implied to be Atakhan, Bringer of Ruin, whose only lore confirmed as of now is that he was trapped by LeBlanc, of whom he calls her as well as Swain 'betrayers'. That makes him the most likely candidate, though since it's not confirmed he refers to their betrayal of Mordekaiser [it could potentially be in reference to the deposing of Darkwill, the Noxian leader before Swain], nor confirmed that he's necessarily a demon. Raum is a loose guess at best, only tied to mordekaiser by the far reach that they are controlled by Swain, who has more confirmed ties [albeit still loose] to Mordekaiser than Raum. And considering Raum was discovered in Ionia as opposed the Noxus, there's not really solid ground. Still within the realm of possibility, though, but the best guess remains Atakhan, if the demon is an established character at all.

Yes, Mordekaiser story took place long time ago, currently in the lore is a year 997, the detonation of the runes during the Rune Wars was set as a year 0, Mordekaiser was born over 400 years befor that, he died and came back as an immortal... well... god xD he is not technically a god, but he has god-like power, he used this power and he almost conquered the whole continent, but was finally stopped by the alliance of many people and becasue one of his people beryared him. He was defeated in a year 100 before the Rune Wars so 1100 years ago. But there are people in current lore that remember him and some of them even met him in person. The lady who betrayed him is also still alive ;p And he is not dead, he is only sealed, becasue he is dead already xD

Kindred was always just a spirit. They were born of belief, they only kill those who believe in them. But, Aurelion recognizes and acknowledges their existence, meaning he believes in them. Meaning they would technically be at the top of the list.
Kindred is a spirit built by faith... Which is why she never appeared when Sahn Uzal died nor appeared in Noxus... Apparently Spirits are regional powerhouses... Noxus territory and majority of unspecified territories in Runeterra doesn't have a strong fixed faith when it comes to death, hence I think in theory explains why there's only gray in the death realm because it doesn't exists yet as there's no faith to power the death realm for the region. Mordekaiser disappointed by the emptiness, created the Hall of Bones himself, thus technically creating a religion out of this. Kindred was created by faith while Mordekaiser created a faith to the death.

Mordekaiser is one of the top 5 most powerful characters in League, the only ones surpassing him would be the celestial entities like Aurelion Sol, Bard and the aspect of Twilight. Kindred would have no power over him as he isn't a mortal being anymore.
I do think its more on regional differences, and the level of faith, Kindred was born out of faith and belief of death, Mordekaiser was the one who created a faith to concept of eternal death, since Noxus has no unified concept of death beyond, Mordekaiser though he could create a religion out of this thus creating his death realm.
