I underestimated it at first, but I honestly love the little thing!
Awesomw video as always! Couple of things though. 1. You absolutely can connect an SMA connector to its ESP32 via the antenna mod (really easy as well) and combined with a case that has a hole with it, you can have external antenna. 2. On the same token, if you connect a gps module, you can have external gps antenna as well. 3. You can also have an external battery wired up if you change the connector. 4. There's also the Guition jc4827w543 variant that has capacitive IPS and battery and GPS connection. Only issue is there's no case design or support for it as of yet ☹️

Adding gps is also easy. Currently waiting for SMA connectors to add external antenna, and fit it with a 18650 battery and design a case for it.
Sometimes when it’s crash on web flasher u need to put it in flasher mode And just hold the BOOT BUTTON and then click flash. Maybe this will help someone ❤️

Yeah, there are a few places u can get them super cheap. I just got by Amazon prices because I'm impatient.
9:45 looks like that example is for the CYD not the CYD2USB which is the one u bought, it needs some tweaks on the TFT setup otherwise u get inverted colours and other fun stuff (that clock is supposed to be yellow on black ) :)

Most of the pio files have a CYD2USB environment that looks after the inverting for you if you pick it (when you have a cyd with two USB)
My platform Io will not work. It just shows like a bunch of error messages when I try to do anything.

Hello Sasquach, is there any difference between this display and esp32-2432s024? because I’m in Ukraine, crimea and I don’t have a lot of options. I can’t find anything I can’t even buy on alliexpress(. I need that because it can be so good if this chip is ok for marauder.

For me the Flipper zero is expensive (special if I want Marauder too) so I really love this kind of gadget which can reproduce some part of it and they are cheap :D
The CYD Brian has doesn't have a USB-C port. Are there 2 versions or are these identical items but your's has an additional USB-C connector? Also are the projects compatible with both versions?

You can use a battery, but u need to either use their supplied plug, solder it directly or change the plug

I cannot find where to get a case for my cheap yellow display. I have the components to add a lithium battery with voltage regulator and usb-c connector for battery charging. But, I need a case to put everything together.

@@diomaiaal I just got it actually. Had to hold down boot when I clicked to connect to the selected port in the webflasher. I was just resetting while holding boot but u must hold boot while the portal connects to the com port. Thanks for your reply.

Yo Yo! There's an conflict with the links you'd provided.... you are linking to the versions with micro usb but no usb c...plus, multiple references to the wrong version. It is a hit/miss using the 2.8 inch screen without the usb c... The usbc version has a lower fail rate/ is the proper version. The difference in model number is the usb c version has a c at the end of the model number where the micro usb version has an r. JC2432W328C is the correct model..where JC2432W328R may work, more so...won't- & leave you with a head ache trying to figure out why the h@@@ the thing won't get recognized in the flasher...
So, yeah the correct 1 to get is the JC2432W328C model.
