Grabbed another "blazer" with aluminum 5.3 LS and SAS

- Marketplace had this Blazer ZR2 frame for sale 25 miles from home, so I dragged the trailer over and grabbed it. Has aluminum LM4 5.3 LS with a plug-n-play Current Performance wiring harness. It's all really clean with a decent new exhaust and a swap oil pan. Has a Sky's Offroad SAS kit with Dana 30 & 35 axles out of a Jeep. I already have a pair of Super Duty solid axles to use instead, since they are heavy duty and they'll hold up fine to my 37" tires. I'll sell the 4l60e (yuck) and whatever else I don't need. Now to just find the time...

That's the exact harness I'm going to order for my Bravada since it's going to stay scum.
Looks really high quality. I didn't know it literally replaced the old 4.3 harness nearly completely. This makes me feel better knowing that any soon to be issues in my old brittle, torn harness will be taken care of.

Definitely looking forward to all the Blazer content. Maybe a syclone turbo swap on your nice Winter Blazer since it has a healthy 4.3.
No one I know has done that to a manual 4x4 Blazer. And 4.3s are so underrated. Probably be fun at the track too doing AWD launches kind of like the syclone/typhoon.
I dunno. Kinda seem like junk to me. Mileage of V8 with power of 4cyl...lol
I was thinking the 4.8 would probably be better power and mileage than the 4.3
@@GEARHEADdezignthat’s probably the gearing. My pickup does over 20 on the highway. Unsure of the rear gear. But it’s as good as my Town Car. Actually better considering it doesn’t require premium.

For the offroad beast? Just cause they're expensive. I put one in my last truck and really liked it. But they're over a grand and I got the complete sm465 for $300
@GEARHEADdezign ah I see. I'm just an nv4500 fan boy. I put one in my f350 my jeep and my off road rv. I'm not sure how the pickens are over there, but there's good deals to be had.
