In case anyone misunderstand, the word "poisonous" in the article refer to a positive note. He tells the bitter truth rather than sweet lie. Other judges also thanked Eunkwang for saying things that they couldn't say out loud.

I'm so proud of him for standing his ground throughout the show. He doesn't give a f* if he sounds nitpicky (he's not) or strict because it's a competition and everyone is trying their best. He has to judge fairly. I found a korean edit where knets commented how strict he was but it was on a postive note as the other judges were too nice and too scared to be cancelled if they say something wrong as the contestants are already establised or known singers/idols. I love him more now. Argh CEO-nim❤

He is the main singer for BTOB. His voice is crazy good. I believe he is giving a fair comment as a judge. I love his expressions, especially when the he hears singers giving their all to a song. He is just giving an honest opinion and encourages the trainees to do better.

Let's not forget that Eunkwang is a very jolly and friendly person, but it's another whole story when it comes to giving comments in a vocal-centered competition. He just doing his assigned job seriously. Not to mention, he is the main vocal of BTOB(Kpop Vocal King) and director of his former agency, so it's very understandable if he has a high standards. He just balanced the panel of judges, they were soft and he was strict. Moreover, wasn't Lisa of Blackpink a strict instructor and judge too on her former idol survival show?

He's not being poisonous. He's a judge for a reason, being known in the industry as one of the best voices in the business. Eunkwang keeps a certain standard on himself for that reason and takes his job seriously. Of course, he will point out mistakes because he wants the singers to be the best that they can be by working on their flaws. Some of you do not understand how strict the Korean music industry is and the quality that they produce is the very reason why you're watching the show and why you're following some of the contestants. These people know what they're getting into and willingly showed up at least to get some exposure for their groups or themselves. So, some of you should stop being dramatic. They are stronger than you think.

Eunkwang and every single member of BTOB are always serious when it comes to music, they don't hold back👏👏💙

Eunkwang is a perfectionist and he loves music. The best teachers/critics are the ones who tell you straight. These are the teachers I remember fondly and with respect in my own life. He wants the best from them so they can be the best they can be. 💕

In the latest episode his strict critique had helped some improve and he acknowledged that they had improved wich seamed to mean alot to them. I think he's fair and even if he is strict (wich i personally dont think he is) it's because he want the contestants to do well and grow as artists it's not malicious he's being constructive and educational wich with his background and knowledge is a great benefit to the contestants.

I think he knows very well the "burden" he carries as one of the best singer and also a leader of a great vocal group, he understand the responsibility that he won't lower his standard and sugarcoating. Also it's a good "use" of his idol seniority because Melody is a secure and tolerant fandom, his group and himself won't get hurt much from backlash of saying the truth ❤

  • @nusratmim3718

He is one of the best vocalists in this industry so whatever he says almost everything makes sense and they will learn many things through it.

  • @kamuigrey4597

I mean, he is BtoB main vocals. His groups is very technical in entirety, even the rappers.

Note: As the owner of this video also notes, Eunkwang is being praised for his feedback. He's giving technical assessment that can help the contestant improve rather than a mere 'it's good' or 'it's bad'. His evaluation is fair, unbiased and justified. Harming the contestants is far from what he wants. He remains a supportive senior that would only want them to thrive.

  • @yummymellon4058

Even until now eunkwang still practice hard for his singing.. He was just being objective which is not cruel or harsh either. I believe that much is needed if they want to survive in this cut throat society especially entertainment.

  • @melodyjmae

I can watch this all day. Eunkwang is really different when it comes to music. This is why I love him 💙

  • @Zzz_bbl

Eunkwang has a great voice he sang in a competition the song back door ..- he was insane good … ❤🎉 he is giving advice it may sound bad but it is true advice

  • @maheshsurya9796

He is just a very good judge he notice mistakes and tell them to improve it and his advice will help them because he is one of the best well known vocalist in kpop industry thats why he seleced has judge and he is doing his job amazingly..💙✨

  • @yellow8980

I love eunkwang, he is very very kind but he is also very passionate and such a perfectionist person, he know what he do and very good at it, I love him and I really hope he don't lower his standard and continue to give sharp, very detailed comments 💯

  • @crizcris6102

For me it's better to tell the truth even it's negative because the contestants will know what they will focus for improvement. Leadernim also teaching them based on his experienced thru his harsh comments 💙💙💙

  • @sarcasticsree

He is doing the right thing! That's what judges & excellent singers like him supposed to do rather than sugarcoating everything! Appreciate him for his honesty!🙌🏼

  • @soraeverblue

Eunkwang is strict with his comments without having any malicious intentions to put down the contestants. He gave valid points, he gave compliments on parts he found good, and pointed out the parts that need to be improved. This way of judging is surely with the intention of improving the contestants' performances
