+schippes24 He says, "this is a new heal" and then lists the spell. It's in game right now and not new. Besides, it's the same thing. It heals a friendly, the caster, and a third friendly within 20 yards for 11,241. It's not new other than the Serendipity thing. I know, he's simply relaying info in the alpha but you can tell with this class as well as a few others that he doesn't play them in live. I wish he would have taken a bit more time to relay correct material. I still like his work because there isn't too many in depth reviews out there but this felt rushed and weird.
+APJ1986 Point is to treat everything as if it is new. These videos are not designed for people who main the spec in question. It's a numbers game - far more people dont main a given spec.
Been gearing a Holy Priest at the moment, and can say, really impressed with the changes in Legion. Looking forward to seeing how it plays out throughout raid environment though.
Gotta say, i like the direction they are going with Holy priest. I usually level my druid first as my healing spec but I may go forward with this spec first.
4:54 in and already 3 mistakes spotted in the video... whats going on Bellular?! You need to slow down and take care with your videos! Quality over quantity.
+GregorDOOM Well you could at least name them if being helpful was your goal. I'm satisfied at my overall grasp of the spec. As I said, the entire point was to bring people up to speed on the basics and in doing so provide the experts with what they need to get to grips with the changes. I'm assuming it's just the odd silly speaking error, in which case I don't really mind at all. Alpha went down right after this was recorded so there wasn't an opportunity to rerecord that evening anyway. Oh and you try learning 36 specs. Not crazy to think a few slip ups will happen along the way :P
+BellularGaming Oh and if treating something that is in WoD as new is a mistake in your eyes, then that's just a differences in what I am aiming to provide and what you are perhaps looking for. This is going in with the idea of every spec being brand new, and giving an overall look. TBH im super happy with how these videos have been doing & my format. I dont think they require any prior knowledge of the class so yay :D
They could make Divine Hymn something like "Heals your raid for X, and heals your party for an additional X." Rather than have to come up with different mechanics for it based on different scenarios.
Binding Heal is a skill atm in the Holy priest's tool kit (though it works slightly different only healing 2 targets, you and the person it was cast on) and it works more as an "oh shit" button due to being rather expensive for the amount it heals but works when you you need a quick heal to yourself but cannot cast a normal heal on yourself for what ever reason.
+BellularGaming Hey Bell, I've been watching just about all of your legion alpha videos and tbh they're the only things giving me hope for WoW. Keep up the good work! Haven't found anyone else doing comparable videos of spec overviews. For all those nay sayers that complain about your mistakes, I guess they don't understand that 1. you've got TONS of content to go over and 2. who gives a shit if theres small mistakes as long as the overall aim of the video is achieved.
+Aleksa Petrovic thank you so much for the response . I am interested in playing assassination, because I loved it in WoD. and little changes makes it even better!
Although I'll miss Lightwell and the effect of Holy Word: Sanctuary, I really like the few changes and it seems Holy will keep its essence. I was afraid I had to re-roll to resto druid after seeing the changes, but I think I'll keep my Holy.
Not to mention he said he never really played the spec for current content. Why bother making a video of it if you don't already know the basics of it? From my point of view holy is going to remain slightly the same. Still revolve around serndipity, but also add in lowering the CDs for you holy word spells.
He's doing it for people like me. I've never played priest, but I'm super hype for the upcoming version of Shadow. Thinking I might main that next expansion, I'm also looking at the other specs to see which one I would like as my off spec. It's a plain reading of the spec, with some demonstration of how it plays. Exactly what I'm looking for when considering playing something new. You, who are experienced with Holy, might not want to bother with this video. You could probably look at some live gameplay footage and draw a whole lot more information from that (for instance).
So Path of Light lets you use levitate even while taking damage but reduces the duration from 10 minutes to 30 seconds. That doesn't sound like a good enough trade to me. I love to just float in the back of the room while healing. Sure, it cancels when I take damage but it's cool just to float there for no reason.
Missed a few thing, like interaction between enduring renewal and binding heal. And you tried apopthosis without light of the naaru, which would create an even greater effect. Or the interaction between divinity, trail of light, surge of light and Blessing of K'ure. (And or the talent that also increases PoH by 30% after a holy word. Possibly creating + 40% healing for 8-12 secs. Or even a PoH with +70% healing. Also quiete a few talent that are completly useless and needs to be changed. (Path of light, desperate prayer, guardian angel, to some extend piety). Also Hymn is and always will be a joke. And I'm really sad about it. Decent vid anyways.
So many amusing script mistakes in this video. My favorite being "So let's have a look at our DPS rotation as a SHADOW priest". Thanks for the video though, just what I needed.
WHEN IS BREWMASTER MONK COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BLIZZARD HURRY THE HELL UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a Holt priest video. Disc is not relevant, it's not necessary to bring it up. We've already been completely overshadowed by Disc, and we don't need someone saying Disc is more fun before Legion even begins.
I just don't understand. I have main'd a holy priest since vanilla. I love the class, but man it has been a rough go since Wrath launched as a holy priest. :( Disc priest win yet again as the more interesting spec.
Looks like WoD version but more simple. It will probably be alright. But I´m getting a bit tired off legion making most speccs superbasic and easier to play.
Aleksa Petrovic I said most speccs, not all of them. That´s also because it´s like impossible to make fury any more basic and shit than it was in WoD. Haven´t played shaman in wod so I can´t say, but I don´t doubt your right.
Aleksa Petrovic Not sure what you´re trying to say. My initial opinion still stands, most of the classes seem simplified in legion compared to their wod version. There might be exceptions like the speccs you mentioned but generally. But then again I think the same with WoD so this is just taking it one step further and making it more casual and noob friendly. I hope they prove me wrong
Aleksa Petrovic Honestly cba to type my opinion over and over again so you can understand, you should look up the meaning of certain words and stop exaggerating your conclussions. Agree to disagree
Aleksa Petrovic Just the fact that you think the word "simplified" means "less spells" kinda proves my point. Simplified could be a combination of Gameplay/Complexity/Talents/Spells, rotation etc. And I still think MOST speccs in legion seem simplified. MOST is also a word you failed to understand in your first reply to me, MOST not ALL. And paladins are pretty great, I use basically all spells they have from time to time. If you don´t then you just lack the knowledge of how and when to use them and which glyphs/talents to use to make great.
Aleksa Petrovic It´s just my opinion I don´t have to prove it somehow, this isn´t court. Just cba, can´t see it accomplishing something. Like I said before, agree to disagree :)
no. i disagree. each healer has its own unique feel and, for holy, it has always been versatility. not specializing in one style but a little of all of them, plus the holy words makes them more fun to play with. simplicity is the problem wow is having, why make all of it too simple?
I've played a holy priest since Vanilla. Most of these talents have been around in some format forever. And Symbol of Hope is back?! Hell yes.
I played hpriest in wrath. this looks quite similar. basically no new spells
Btw, Binding Heal has been in the game for a long time. It's just been made a talent.
+APJ1986 but right now it is only healing you and the target, right? in this version it heals you, the target and some other guy in 20yards
+schippes24 He says, "this is a new heal" and then lists the spell. It's in game right now and not new. Besides, it's the same thing. +schippes24 There is a glyph that makes it heal an additional target.
+APJ1986 Point is to treat everything as if it is new. These videos are not designed for people who main the spec in question. It's a numbers game - far more people dont main a given spec.
The name is old, but the way it heals is new. So, in a way it is new.
Not being able to see your mouse makes this video really hard to watch.
One of the few legion speccs that really look great.
Holy seems great.
Been gearing a Holy Priest at the moment, and can say, really impressed with the changes in Legion. Looking forward to seeing how it plays out throughout raid environment though.
+Katie Woodland katie im doing the same ! dont forget to go multistrike and haste for maximum efficiency, gl
+GregorDOOM lol people make mistakes...
+GregorDOOM Well you could at least name them if being helpful was your goal. I'm satisfied at my overall grasp of the spec. As I said, the entire point was to bring people up to speed on the basics and in doing so provide the experts with what they need to get to grips with the changes.

+GregorDOOM Slow down and check your spelling "doing", you mean " going".
What ever, I think people get the point
I like that Holy is keeping his "versatility" with having so many options to do the job. I just hope it's not going to be killed by absorbs again tho.
They could make Divine Hymn something like "Heals your raid for X, and heals your party for an additional X." Rather than have to come up with different mechanics for it based on different scenarios.
Finally no more chakras x.x
Binding Heal is a skill atm in the Holy priest's tool kit (though it works slightly different only healing 2 targets, you and the person it was cast on) and it works more as an "oh shit" button due to being rather expensive for the amount it heals but works when you you need a quick heal to yourself but cannot cast a normal heal on yourself for what ever reason.
so its the same spec, some spells cut back. still my favorite heal spec.
+BellularGaming Hey Bell, I've been watching just about all of your legion alpha videos and tbh they're the only things giving me hope for WoW. Keep up the good work! Why are these spec videos not in a seperate playlist so I can easly access all the spec videos.
Trying to decide what class to play.
is assassination rogue available in the alpha yet ?
+Aleksa Petrovic thank you so much for the response . I am interested in playing assassination, because I loved it in WoD. and little changes makes it even better!
4:40 lol wait what? I'm confused! "Now lets have a look at our DPS rotation as a Shadow Priest" oops.... Guess he had a long night.
Although I'll miss Lightwell and the effect of Holy Word: Sanctuary, I really like the few changes and it seems Holy will keep its essence. I was afraid I had to re-roll to resto druid after seeing the changes, but I think I'll keep my Holy.
Good preview but this video feels very rushed. You say the wrong name for many things. Also you use incorrect terms often.
Not to mention he said he never really played the spec for current content. Why bother making a video of it if you don't already know the basics of it? From my point of view holy is going to remain slightly the same. Still revolve around serndipity, but also add in lowering the CDs for you holy word spells.

OH MY GOD THAT TUURE PROC
Hold on, Mass Ress between Priests spells. What happened? Its still avilable as a Guild perk or is it being changed?
And thanks for the video.
+cristhianmlr Guild mass rez is being removed. It's a healer thing now.
I was under the impression they were making PoM instant cast again. I miss instant pings.
he mentioned no spirit on gear, i thought it was being removed?
So Path of Light lets you use levitate even while taking damage but reduces the duration from 10 minutes to 30 seconds. That doesn't sound like a good enough trade to me. somebody call FEMA, feels like a levee just broke in my pants

Looks like its going to be almost as it is today. Thats fine with me :) Only going to miss cascade :)
Love to heal with my holy priest.
BLIZZARD HURRY THE HELL UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ditto
+Ambou Plays the artifact has been data mined
***** what does that mean?
Ambou Plays you can see the entire spec on wowhead.com just not in video form
i just want blizz to hurry cause i been maining brewmaster monk since it came out!!!!!!
Cascade gone?!?! Screw you blizz I loved the healing and the amazing visual!! Why not Halo?!
I miss holywell
Allows for some room for mistakes
Divine star= raid has to be stacked. Halo= targets are spread out divinity= pump out more HPS more often and it's a nice tank heal talent.
what is better a resto druid or a holy priest?
Soulof Souls Holy Priest if you want to be cool, Resto if you want to be a dumb elf
do i need to dps as holy aswell to keep healing ? thought just for disciple priest.
i think dps is just for disc
DEFINITELY maining holy priest in legion
why they removed chakra :(
This is a Holt priest video. Disc is not relevant, it's not necessary to bring it up. We've already been completely overshadowed by Disc, and we don't need someone saying Disc is more fun before Legion even begins.
6:12 poor Az no reply :(
FERAL?!? YES?! PLEASE TELL ME ITS OUT YET!!
Easy tiger
LOL wow 6 seconds off of the single target one seens Omega OP
Is it only me who thinks that serendipity is a ridiculous sounding word (and yes, I do know that it is a 'real' word)?
It really is, but it's not as bad as the word "Plump". Just think about the word and it's pronunciation. Plump. Plump. P-uh-l-uh-m-p. Puhluhmp
Holy shit this is cool
Damn, i wish holy paladins were that cool! But w'll see!
If you explain the talents, keep your mouse on them... don't wobble around with it... especially if we don't see the cursor.
I just don't understand. I have main'd a holy priest since vanilla. I love the class, but man it has been a rough go since Wrath launched as a holy priest. :( Disc priest win yet again as the more interesting spec.

Why would you go to Pandaria? Ever? Ever?!
Hymm = WIN!!
Very Nice Video, and holy seems very funny, but WHERE THE FUCK IS MY LIGHTWELL :((((((((
Not gonna' lie...this class looks pretty dull and not many changes to the play style compared to the other classes and specs. :(
Holy spellbook looks so bloated. There should be fast heal, cheap, AoE and HoT.
no. i disagree. each healer has its own unique feel and, for holy, it has always been versatility. not specializing in one style but a little of all of them, plus the holy words makes them more fun to play with. simplicity is the problem wow is having, why make all of it too simple?
