I saw the little picture so many times but seeing the beauty of the singer I was under the impression it was some Pop or something softer, great band and her voice is quite impressive

Love her harsh vocals, it's just as awesome as Neige's. Also love the rest of everything else, they should Super-Sayain with Alcest to create the most powerful band in existence, fuck yeah!

The influence of her dear friend Neige from Alcest (who collaborated to the Sylvaine project) is (a bit too) clear. Neige also plays the drums on the recording of this ‘’Atoms Aligned, Coming Undone’’ album.

It's no accident with Alcest. Neige and Kathrine are good friends, and Neige has been a supporter of Sylvaine since basically the start. I assume you know of blackgaze, otherwise there is a whole genre of bands who build upon what Neige started with Alcest.

@@alonsovivar9551 Neige ayudó mucho a esta banda desde sus inicios, fue baterista en vivo y también grabó en un disco, cuando Alcest realizó su primera gira por Sudamérica Sylvaine fue la telonera, Ella ha aportado voces femeninas en varias canciones para Alcest, la más notable siendo Kodama, según tengo entendido llevan un par de años juntos como pareja ♥ Saludos.

Scream/gutural scream is a common practice in the Black Metal genre, even in the "Blackgaze" sub-genre.
The band's genre can be defined as Blackgaze (Black M. + Shoegaze), which is a homogeneous blend of the aggressivity and anger (Black. M.) with the beauty and introspection (Shoegaze). Thus, the vocalist Sylvaine (same name of the band) emphasizes this blend in her vocal style.
Alcest is another example of Blackgaze. There are a lot of bands in the scope, by the way.
