Oh wow that violin part hit me like 5 trains at once
The most underrated band on earth
Criminally so
Idk they are pretty respected in the pop punk scene
@@nmpete3365 if this were a just world they'd be playing arenas.
They're on a basically sold out tour. So at least they are getting the recognition they deserve now
I'm a massive pop punk fan and I didn't listen to these guys out of apathy when I was in school in 09-10. They've been my top listened to band the last few years and just finally saw them live. Ethereal...
I love that he let the audience sing the last part. It feels like an oath of “we’re not letting this happen anymore, we’ve had enough” and just allows everyone to let out their own pain. Beautiful set.
This song let’s me get all of that out whenever I’m feeling down or out of it. There’s something about the last part that when It’s done I just feel a weight lifted off me. Thank you Soupy, you’ve probably saved my life.
soupy hyping the crowd while holding flowers is the best thing ever
I'm not crying you're crying
Jeremy Londino it’s okay we’re all crying. Embrace it
fuck yes i am crying
Damn straight I am
how can you listen to this song and not sob your eyes out??????
my friend took his own life 2 months ago, everytime i listen to this song i think of him. miss you forever kam❤️
The closest you'll ever get to a religious experience without setting foot in a church.
4:00 am, cigs and saints always fucks me up in any version
Same here brother. 4:19 am and I’m here crying
just came back to watch again this beautiful performance. hands down!
About a minute in my mum asks me "why are you listening to Christian music?" ......
This makes me cry so much
Really an incredible performance all around, but Soupy's vocals are particularly impressive here. For a live performance, his pitch is damn near perfect. That's not an easy thing to do.
I can tell when soupy is bonding back the screams to make it sound clearer to fit the genre. It sounds better when he lets loose like he does at the end
Balling every time I miss u my brother 😢
This always blows me away no matter how many times I watch it
One of the best songs I’ve ever heard
violin part never ceases to amaze and awe me, what a fantastic set
20 seconds in I started sobbing
I didn't plan on crying today but here we are
Best band, I have to see them again
I literally have this link saved in my notes as “if you ever need to cry”.
the ending of this video is so perfect
This is so beautiful
Rip Andyman, it’s been a year and I still think about you everyday
I haad to pause the song a minute into it because I was tearing up so hard
I love this so much
such a powerful song, but I will admit I broke at 4:42
Twice a week I pass by the church that held your funeral
And the pastor's words come pouring down like rain
How he called you a sinner and said now you walk with Jesus
So the drugs that took your life aren't gonna cause you any pain
I don't think he even knew your name
And I refuse to kneel and pray
I won't remember you that way
I lit you a candle in every cathedral across Europe
And I hope you know you're still my patron saint
I tried to forgive, but I can't forget the cigar in his fist
I know that they were heartsick, but I need someone to blame
And I know how they blamed me
I know what you'd say
You'd tell me it was your fault
I should put all my arrows away
I'm sure there ain't a heaven
But that don't mean I don't like to picture you there
I'll bet you're bumming cigarettes off saints
And I'm sure you're still singing
But I'll bet that you're still just a bit out of key
That crooked smile pushing words across your teeth
Cause you were heat lightning
Yeah, you were a storm that never rolled in
You were the northern lights in a southern town
A caustic fleeting thing
I'll bury your memories in the garden
And watch them grow with the flowers in spring
I'll keep you with me
These wolves in their suits and ties
Saying, "Kid, you can trust me"
Charming southern drawl, sunken eyes
Buying good will in hotel lobbies
Buy fistfuls of pills to make sure you don't hurt no more
You don't gotta feel anything
Got their fangs in our veins
Got their voice in our head
Got our arms in their grips
No, we can't shake free
This goddamn machine, hungry and heartless
My whole generation got lost in the margin
We put our faith in you and you turned a profit
Now we're drowning here under the waves
(We're no saviors if we can't save our brothers)
Drowning out under the waves
(We're no saviors if we can't save our brothers)
Drowning out, drowning out
You can't have my friends
You can't have my brothers
You can't have my friends
You can't have my brothers
You can't have my friends
You can't have my brothers
You can't have me
No, you can't have me
goosebumps. literally everywhere.
Incredible. fragments shake. The Wonder Years, Soupy… thank you
this makes me cry every fucking time
So powerful
This song makes me cry, every. fucking. time.

i would be crying by the end of that.
what ana amzing song and what an epic performance! holy fuck
I wish I could've been there to enjoy this set. Looks wonderful
Do you imagine a Yellowcard bridge on a song from The Wonder Years ??
4:04 The drummer is really feeling the tempo raise. XD
God damn this is a beautiful performance.
what an insanely beautiful arrangement of this song woooow
His voice...
We need to fix our broken healthcare system.

I think this relates more to pharmaceutical companies shilling out opioids and killing hundreds, no, tens of thousands a year. I’ve lost 6 people since 2018. It’s awful.
As a psychologist that needs to charge more per session than I could comfortably afford myself to make ends meet, I fully agree.
@@JanoyCresvaZero I feel you, brother ❤
Wow. This has to be the best live performance I've ever seen from Soupy. And I'm a big fan. Incredible.
Loveee
this song is so god damn heartbreaking.
Impressive performance. Good singer.
I cry
Love
At the end Mike was like "fuck playing softly, LETS ROCK!"
see ya next time
ang sakit
5:03 it’s the fucking Catalina wine mixer.
This is the theme song of millennials
Such a great song. The build up, the lyrics, the emotions. Well done Soupy X
Being the one of the string musicians who played with them must be crazy. They played with The Wonder Years. That's like a lifetime achievement.
Holy. Shit. The first time I ever heard this song is a moment still frozen in my mind. I bought their album immediately, without ever having heard them before. I knew if a band could write a song this powerful they're be one of my favorites. I just got to experience that feeling all over again seeing this live version.
Is Dan Campbell really 6 foot 5?
bruhhhhhh im definitely 1000% A+ crying
