shy guy in talons isn't actually rng. whenever shy guy sees you, he will chase you. For some reason, moving to the left side of the tower can get you seen by him, even through the wall. Thats probably the rng that your reffering to. Go on the right side of the tower and you're set my dude.

@@EazySpeezy early June. I had the idea to do a "speedrunning in one week" series as well, and after researching keywords to include in tags and such, I stumbled upon your vid and your channel lol.

I like the format of these videos, especially as I have never played super Mario 64. It is really helpful when you explain all the glitches and skips. Very entertaining!

Great video. I've just started speedrunning more seriously myself the past month in Donkey Kong Country, and I similarly had massive progress in only a week's time (top 100). . . While I do think a lot is still on a player to player basis, the fact remains one week of dedicated work will place you in tremendous growth and videos like this can inspire more people to test the waters.

I don’t play hardly any of the games you do but I genuinely enjoy your videos so I watch them anyway
The thing i love about speedruning this game is that it dosent need a mountain of rng to get a good time
I like how people beat Mario 64 in less time than a short safe vr session
This is kinda inspiring. A few years ago I messed around with this game a bit and practiced a few glitches and stars just for fun, but I never did a complete run or anything. But to this time I only knew some things from some big speedrunners who played this game for ages basically as a full time job. So I quickly lost interest, since I thought, I'd need a lot of time to even come close to completing a run in a reasonable time.
Now I watch this and see how far you can get in just this short span of time. Makes me want to give it another try.
Already the thought of beating this game in around half an hour sounds amazing to me.
Eazy is the kinda guy to usually not get the 1st place record in the video he would upload but it takes him like 5 milli seconds to get a really good record on any random game that’s recommended🤔

got major nostalgia from seeing this game which was my favourite as a kid. It was funny to see how bad the games graphics actually were!

I remember watching my older cousin play this on ds in awe with how fast he beat it
I wanted to speedrun sm64 on the switch, but gee, I suck at it. I can't even. Beat it regularly. 😂😂😂 It drives me mad because I was basically playing that game on emulator on and off for 20 years and I can't even beat a proper port of it???? 😭
To be fair the “proper port” has crazy input lag
does a pc speedrun require an emulator, like if i play it on a website is the run still allowed

BTW, the fly guy's position in SSL isn't based on RNG, but rather where Mario is when you go over the slope.
