  • Lead guitar tutorial: electric guitar cover for Holy Spirit by Jesus Culture off Live From New York. This is how I play this at our church. For what it's worth... Hope you find it helpful.
    4:39: Ending build and instrumental
The glory is His, the gift is the original artist's, the clumsiness is mine...
"[M]usicians ... stood on the east side of the altar playing cymbals and stringed instruments. They were joined by 120 priests sounding trumpets. The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the Lord..., the singers raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang: 'He is good; his faithful love endures forever.' At that moment, a thick cloud filled the temple of the Lord. The priests could not continue the service because of the cloud, for the glorious presence of the Lord filled the House of God. -- 2 Chronicles 5, 11-14

The only thing I think should be included when making tutorials like these is a description of the effects you are using (and what delay settings) as it is such a fundamental part of the electric guitar parts. Just a suggestion : )

I completely agree with this tutorial in the fact that adding description of effects is vital . Otherwise we are just listening and guessing then moving on...

Beautiful guitar! What amp/effects are you running? What pickup position are you using? I have a Custom 24 😁

Yeah, those guys at PRS know what they're doing, huh? It's been said many times, but they hit that sweet spot right between Gibson and Fender. It can get fat wth sustain, close to a Les Paul, but the higher notes and lead lines cut through the mix like single coils. I got lucky and got one in great shape off Craigslist, because they ain't cheap! Hope you are loving yours.
In this video, I use the (stock) bridge p/u the whole time, volume knob at 9, tone knob at 5. The chain I am using for this is: Diamond Compressor --> JHS Double Barrel (808 side) --> Timmy --> Strymon Timeline --> Strymon Blue Sky --> AC30. For the increased dirt on the instrumentals, I kick on a Keeley Katana boost between the 808 and the Timmy.
