- This year was tough for a lot of us. We came in as a Top 10 team but feel really short of our expectations. We had all the talent but with all the off court issues and the cameras following us around 24/7 we somewhat crumble but regained our mojo near the end of the season.
Man I loved this doc 💯❤️ First saw it in 1998 on Fox SW sports and recorded it to VHS. Seen it millions of times since

I remember the buzz around this team leading up to the season. If you go to the Elbow Room or Silver Dollar at that time it was always being talked about. Bulldog fans are loyal and even through the bad times showed a lot of love!
Bulldogs fan were definitely the best and loyal!! Stuck with us through all the turmoil on and off the court. I always will have love for them and the city! I wish things would have panned out there because we had all the talent and pieces to have made a deep run in the ncaa tourney. That final four nit should have been a ncaa final four. I've been trying to find this on and off for over a decade. I remember watching this when I was 17-18. Still to me the best basketball documentary ever. Before cell phones,social media bs. Raw and real! So much talent on that team. Is part 2 available? I'd like to see the whole doc. Respect!

i love will farley pause i got to play with him and learn from him when he retired and came back to san diego and hooped at san diego state back in 2003-2005. im from ny so i got to watch skip alot especially in the summer time

@@Trefeezy I was there me and my dad were at the game in selland arena I have great memories there I was 8 years old then Fresno state mens basketball team and women's basketball team still played at save mart center at Fresno state . I will never forget selland arena when coach Jerry tarkanian his son Danny tarkanian . I will have great memories forever about Fresno state mens basketball team in selland arena . RIP coach Jerry tarkanian memories of coach Jerry tarkanian tark the shark .
@@jamiecain8120 That’s great to hear! Yes Selland was electrifying and I wish they could’ve made the Save-Mart Center that same style but more of an updated look. SMC is way too big but you never know they might be able to fill it up one day lol..Great memories.

Wasnt john calipari kentucky coach now, coaching UMASS in 96? So i know he wasnt coaching 97-98 but the shark & his team did destroy his recruits 86-64 very very impressive especially 2nd game of the season! Very underrated Coach of all time!
Calipari left Amherst, Massachusetts in the spring of 1996. He went and coached the New Jersey Nets but not for very long.

And they still came 2nd in the WAC. Great talent but too many personal problems also was in the same conference as the Utah team that made it to the championship game.
