  • Podia Tutorial: Podia How-To Manage Membership Content using Podia's Community Features (live demo)
In this video, I will show you how I organize content using Podia for our members. We are using Podia and its community features to store content for our members after we host live calls, and it's our resource centre for our members.
I'll also show you how I manage the storage of content and workflows in tally in my notion workshop dashboard (if you don't have something like this, you're going to want it moving forward!).
If you're looking for Podia design and builds, please visit me online: www.emptydesks... - I offer free 10 min coffee chats on zoom and I'd love to learn about your podia project and brainstorm together :)

This is SO helpful- I am debating using Podia's memberhsip function and seeing how you have this all set up is HUGE. Thank you!

Excellent video! Super informative. I am still not entirely sure Podia's community page is the right place to build my community, but it was really interesting to see how it can be used. ☺

Thank you so much! The feature can work really well, but each use case is different. I would say if you're looking for a place with tons of engagement you might find a few features missing, but if it's a place to store content and facilitate the billing and keep everything in one place, it's perfect! We use it for our bootcamp events as well and it is awesome!

Hey, thanks a lot for all the info! I've been trying to make a simple landing page where people can join my community right away and get a free product, which is my course. So far when i use my test account it gos straight to the products page instead of the community page

In this case you would include the product as part of the community plan... do you mean when you test it that it loads the products page by default instead of the community page? They should still see products and community in the top right hand corner when they log in :)

Hey. I must say that your membership framework is outstanding. Learned a lot from this video, and will implement some of it on my partner podia membership. All the best and thank you :)

hey - cool video! I find Podia quite frustrating for a few things - especially the community! The platform is great for a lot of things but the visuals on the community and how you can see pages when you're editiing can be pretty frustrating! Funny how Facebook has dominated when it comes to being the space everyone shares their stuff. How do you coombat non-payers still having access to FB - do you do a monthly audit? Cheers!

Great question! We do an audit yes. It's a manual process but we don't have to look at every single member, we just pull the list of canceled members within a certain time frame, and then we go find them in the group and remove them. The main membership I run isn't huge (yet? haha), about 100 members so it's not a super tedious task right now and it's one I can do myself or hand off to a team member who also has admin access to the Facebook group. We were convinced we would not also have a Facebook Group but the truth is re-training someone to log in somewhere they aren't used to engaging is hard! We're asking people to change habits and if they are already on Facebook, then we might as well do the engagement piece over there. For other memberships that are for people who are not as active on social media, Podias community would work really great, or for the use case of memberships like MarketingClub.ca that we are running where we use the community as the place to house the content and run the subscription payments themselves. -B

@emptydesksolutions hey, good to hear from you ! Yes, agreed, it's hard to beat Facebook in this respect and as you say, re-educate members.
All the big guys in the coaching and business space all still use Facebook so there's no point trying to reinvent the wheel is there!! I find Podia great for 90% of the stuff I need to be fair and I have two sites with them... Anyway, all the best!
