    Hello! Beautiful work, how long is it? I need to make a choker for a 41cm neck with 1mm waxed thread, and another for a 37cm neck

    • @bijoumadame
      @bijoumadame  Рік тому

      Hello. This choker is for a neck with a circumference of 32 cm, so I advise you to put the cords at least 20% longer. The other way is to play with the clasp, you can put a longer chain extension to hook the lobster clasp.

      Hello! I already made it, I used 2.50m cords. Some cords were short and I had to add, and others were too long. It didn't turn out exactly the same because the threads are different, but it turned out very nice. Thanks a lot!@@bijoumadame

    What knot are you using?

    Im making it now and i have a question. 2 threads are getting very short, the ones you put the seed beats on at the side. Am i doing something wrong? Im halfway and don't think i can finish it. Thank you very much 😄

      @bijoumadame  3 роки тому +1

      If you knit with a waxed polyester cord you can easily add new cord on the place of the short edge. Simply add it from the back side, where is your existing cord, make one double half hitch knot with the both cords ( the new and the old one) together and after that continue knitting with the new one, leaving the short old cord behind. (The knot will be slightly bigger then the other knots, but trust me, won't be visible on the finished necklace.)
      The both edges (the start of the new cord and the remaining of the old cords) must be from the back side. Cut these edges and burn them with a light.

      @@lonnekedelangen1374 I am sorry you have this issue. Different types of cords knit differently. The total measurement of this necklace is 29 cm (maybe is better to write it in the description ☺️) If you want to make it longer you may need extra length of cord.

    • @lonnekedelangen1374
      @lonnekedelangen1374 3 роки тому

      @@bijoumadame i think i have the same cord as what you used. And cut them a 2 meter long each. Mine to should be the same length, about 30 cm. All the other cord are still very long. I thought maybe i did something wrong. That i had to change the cords somehow. At the end of the video all your cords are the same lenght or did you have to make some longer too?

    • @bijoumadame
      @bijoumadame  3 роки тому +1

      @@lonnekedelangen1374 No, I didn't. For sure could be some difference between the length of the cords, but 2 cords to be so short in the middle of the project, it's strange.

      Do you use flat waxed cord? If you do, you shouldn't have a problem.

    First try doing macrame, aware that it's going to be hard update through process (working with yarn)
    1 update: messed up few times, got mad so I decided to take a break (took 3 hours)
    2 update: made a station to work on now trying my best
    3 update: YES! Finally made first part/pattern
    It's messed up but hey that's the progress
    4 update: ...I gave up

    • @bijoumadame
      @bijoumadame  2 роки тому

      Continue like that, don't give up keep going 😊
      The pattern is challenging I know, but with a bit more of practice you will master it ❤️
