The Work was premiered on October 15 1985 by the French trumpet player Roger Delmotte played the premiere of Aubade, accompanied by the composer on the carillon of the International Watch Museum in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. This piece for trumpet and carillon (or marimba) was specially written for this occasion during the Jura Art Weeks.
