I want more directors saying what movies they like, instead of just trashing modern blockbusters. I want to hear more unusual tastes. Let´s break the stigma that directors only watch czech documentaries from 1950´s.
He forget to say: Better be a rocket scientist, otherwise you won`t get this film. I was done after about 30 min. I usually like films that force you to think to understand them. Tenet is way to complicated for my little brain..
This is what happens when one of the most truly remarkable artists in modern history crosses paths with a small-minded and shallow hack who(poorly) attempts to parade around as a gregarious and engaging man. We have obviously all known for a very long time that Rich Eisen is one of the most nauseatingly pretentious phonies in media. That point has been well-established. But placing him alongside a truly elite artist like Christopher Nolan in this segment, makes that fact even more satisfyingly apparent.
Tbh the movie wasn’t that great. Great concept and a spectacle, but the overall story of the movie lacked severely. Lot of parts were you wonder what is the point in the action and what is the drive of the characters

I agree that the story is lacking, even Nolan indirectly agrees when he says it's not about the story but the visual experience. He doesn't discuss character development or story points, but action and filming challenges. Both have merit, some of us just wish that more effort was invested in characters as well. He's shown in other films that great technical challenges don't have to exclude an emotional story line.
My favourite director. The Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar, Tenet all fantastic.
Definitely watch The Prestige if you haven't already. It's one of the greatest films of all time.
