Just finished my third shift as a new grad ED nurse and I just wanted to say thank you soooo much! I came home feeling defeated that I didn’t know a damn thing. Please do more real life nursing tips, tricks, meds to know, and anything else that will help me and other new grads going to ED not look completely stupid and incompetent 💕
New grad ER murse here. I agree with your comment. I feel the same way. Just finished my fourth week. Its a pain in the ass. This vid is fkn spot on. Great vid. Ive used ALL of these drugs mentioned in the first 2 shifts working nights
Nursing student here! And this was really helpful and is sticking to me... Please do more vids like these.. most important things we need to know in ER nursing/PA
Love the vid man, currently in second semester nursing school. Concepts 1. My clinical site is on a cardiac PCU unit. So far I've gotten the chance to see Lorazepam, and Heparin IV drip. I'm gonna commit these to memories because I def want to work in the ED.
I am actually learning these drugs right now. Listening to you talking about how to use them in the ER with different scenarios is just so interesting, also reinforces the information in my head. Next yr when I go on to my rotation, I will definitively look less stupid. LOL.
Whew this video is so helpful being that I am currently working in pharmacy so I know a little bit about these drugs. This just gives me a little boost to apply to nursing school! Thanks!
Current BSN student studying analgesic and antiemetic drugs. Fun to tie real world examples to all the meds. Future goal of working in the ED. Watch all your videos you are an inspiration. Future young male nurse hoping to be a mid level in the long run
I LOVE NURSING BUT BECAUSE I HAVE A MILD LEARNING DISORDER THAT IS A VERY NASTY THING WITH DYSLEXIA AND WRITTING DYSGRAPHIA, DYSCALCULIA AS WELL BUT I LOVE TO READ ALOT OF BOOKS 📚 BUY BOOKS STORES HALF PRICE BOOKS 📚 IN ORDER TO GET A GOOD PRICE ON THE TEXTBOOKS FROM SECONDARY SOURCES BOOKS YOU CAN BUY USED BOOKS.
Man I was going to break until 2023 to go back and get my RN but watchin this video is making me wanna arrange to going back sooner and I studied every last one of these meds Very hard for the Comprehensive Predictor PN. Like half of them at least I learned before I even Started nursing. Im saving this video for my playlist! Great Video👏👏👏👏👏
Amazing video brotha! I’m a second semester nursing student and I just started a channel as well! I hope to one day be as knowledgeable as you, amazing video 🙏🏽
My program just had us know the prototype drugs for each classification. We still had to know the actions and side effects for each drug classification. We learned the generic names mostly which helped out on NCLEX.
Toradol is also awful I swear and I'm sorry.ive had meny kidney stones I have history and it dose nit touch the pain and the love to always give it frist and I tell them it don't do anything I'm sorry rember everybody chemistry is different just because it don't touch my pain the wanna label me as a addict no.jist have had kidney stones sine I was 19 and I'm 45 I know what works by now and my body
Great videos! I’m curious, are these drugs often standby orders or are they usually under the orders? Are there drugs that are standby orders that you can give right away without prescriptions?

In Las Vegas the only level 1 is UMC and only level 2 is Sunrise :).

Usually ordered by doc
Were you a CNA/LPN before becoming and getting hired as a nurse? Wondering if that makes you more valuable to the employer.
LPNS are nurses!
Sorry to mention this, but I miss it when you were with Steph 🥺
Ok and?

Reglan is the worst drug!!
First drug should have been B52 haha
