That cinch for discs is pretty intricate, I really need a disk punch but you tutorial is really going to help me do it correctly. You are a wonderful teacher. I didn’t know your a brand ambassador for Graphic 45, that’s a huge accomplishment. Way to go Lynn. Your brilliant , wayto go!
Thank you for providing such a thorough explanation & demonstration of using the mini cinch! I have watched several other videos & because I didn’t know anything, I thought they were great! You answered questions I didn’t know I should have asked! Showing how to make the templates is genius & I now have a visual image in my head! I now know I can buy a Cinch & know how to use it! You should make more tutorials on how to use crafting gizmos, you’re very good at this! Happy New Year! Erica❤️is that the we are memory keepers scoring & cutting board? Do you like it?❤️
Thanks for the great review. I've been thinking about getting one of these. Your cover is half an inch larger than your pages. The guide slots look like they're quarter inch apart. Since you punched your pages against the stop B, I wonder if you punched the cover against the stop at C if the holes would match up. Just wondering.
Oh that's a good question. I haven't thought to try it but I think it might actually punch an extra hole. Just a hunch though ... Haven't actually checked. :)
@@LVHandcrafted I think moving to slot C would make your 1st hole further from the edge and at the other end you'd have to do like you did to not punch off the other edge.
I like the idea of having this punch but here is my issue with it. As I search about it .. it was shown that the mechanical issue with it is that the punch holes don't line up thus giving you a bad cut. Check when you first punched the plain paper you can see the first hole was not a clean cut. And that was using just plain printer paper which should not happen. Thanks for sharing but will have to pass on this purchase.
Hi Christine! Sorry I didn't mention it in the video. The cover is 9" H x 6" W. The pages are 8.5" H x 5.5" W. That's mainly so I can get two covers from a 12x12 sheet and 2 pages from letter size paper.
@@angeladaniel209 Not really. The cinch is heavy duty and it will chomp through the chipboard no problem. But a trimmer and a regular shape punch... I'm not sure would do the job. In a trimmer, I would use an old blade and cut from both top & bottom. I've done that before and it works OK. My guillotine can cut through this pretty well. I think the same brand makes a lightweight chipboard and I don't think you'd have any problem with that one on a trimmer or a punch. Hope that helps!
Lol... I will gladly accept responsibility. :) But you'll also save so much by making your own notebooks and planners and gifts! That's what I told my hubby anyhow... After I explained all the differences between this and the original cinch (which I also have) 🤣 💖💕
@@LVHandcrafted That is what I told my hubby, my last planner cost $80, it is too pretty to write in, if I make my own I am more inclined to use it lol and I can make it my own.
@@jacqpinks definitely a smart buy! 😁 I do use mine a lot especially now that I use it to swatch my craft supplies like inks, markers, etc. Once I got it (and the cinch) I found more and more ways to use it so I don't regret the investment at all. It's spendy but there's always sales so if you can catch it on sale it's not too bad.
These tips for centering are golden❤
Thank you so much!! 💕

Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much!! ❤️
Very helpful! Thank you.
Thank you so much! So glad this is useful. 💖
Thanks for the in-depth tutorial. I like the footprint of the mini. I haven’t made a planner but think I would prefer the disc bound.
The mini is pretty convenient. I'm working on a comparison video of the various planner punches I have. They each have their pros and cons
Excellent tutorial.
Thank you so much!! 💖

what size are your covers and pages inside. I know its 9 high for the cover and 8 .5 for the pages but what is the width?

Very good lesson. Where do you get the outter boards/covers from?
Thanks so much, Angela!! I get my chipboard off of Amazon. Here's the one I like - amzn.to/3D0xEPM Hope that helps!! 💖
@@LVHandcrafted Thanks so much for your quick response. Is it thin enough to cut with a paper cutter and punch?

if I get into trouble for buying this (another craft tool) I am going to tell my husband it is your fault lol
