    In order to keep our recommendations up to date, we maintain a 'Buyer's Guide' on our Patreon page (with a wide spectrum of models, and a lot of technical and lifestyle-related information). Organizing our recommendations this way makes it easier to include good models that we haven't made review-videos for yet, as well as to remove models which have developed unforeseen wear-issues over time, or which have been weakened by the manufacturer in their current iterations. You can access it here: www.patreon.com/posts/stroller-buyers-37953864 As an independent, consumer-oriented reviewer, we have fewer revenue-streams open to us than the majority of other channels out there, so we do ask for a small donation for access to this guide (as well as a free consultation and access to our other Patreon content). Thanks so much for your help!

    We have our city elite 2 and love it. 100% all terrains and I mean natural rock road.
    We live in regional QLD, Australia and notice many Bugaboo Fox and Uppa vista. Such ashame that not many appreciations for 3 wheels model.

    I like very much the technical description and the show of good and bad aspects of new model than first.
    Simply thanks. 🙏🏻

    thank you so much for this!!!
    I told u I had received a defected Elite 1. Thankfully they agreed to take it back. But I did feel that the Elite was a bit cumbersome for me. I'm small and I felt like it was too heavy for me, the wheels were too large for me, and the plastic footrest was also too chunky for me. I got a City Mini GT 1, and I feel much more comfortable with that. I've had it before so I knew I'd be satisfied with it. I really wanted to like the Elite, and I did, but for my small frame I felt like it was too big.
    But thank you so much for this review! I love the detail you put into explaining the strengths and weaknesses! Your son is so cute!

    I’ve been watching reviews of pushchairs for several days to try and figure out the differences and which would be most appropriate for my son. This is by far the best review I have come across. Factual, to the point without any excess chatting (come on ladies! ) and unbiased. And the first one I’ve found where they actually show us a child in the video so we can get a sense of size! Fantastic. New subscriber for sure. Thanks so much for the info. This one is definitely on my short list now.

    The price of the new elite + the crossbar + the new swivel mechanism (plus no included parent console) makes me say you should just buy the original city elite. Its way cheaper. Now if the city elite 2 decreases in price IT would maybe be worth it. But as of right now it costs twice as much. Part of the appeal with three wheelers is that they are often way more affordable than the midsize city strollers

      Yeah…I ALMOST splurged but then went for the GT2 instead due to the hefty price point on the this model but it’s still beautiful to gawk in envy of tho😆

    Hi, I need to ask you something before I buy this. City Elite 2 and Mini GT2 customer reviews mention about being the fully upright position being too much angled and not so up. This will definitely bother the child, something many parents may not notice at all. What's your take on this? My daughter doesn't even wanna lay on the car seat if it is too much laying position and try to push herself up. Please let me know as soon as you can because we are without a stroller at the moment. Thank you for your amazingly informative and objective reviews and honest opinions.

    Hi everybody,
    There's been a lot of talk lately about 'Greenwashing,' which is the process by which businesses promote their products as 'sustainable', 'eco-friendly' and so on, while in actual fact, their manufacturing processes and business models clearly show this to be nothing more than a marketing ploy. As soon as I heard about this concept (and even that several major companies have been penalized for it), I realized that this practice really defines the approach of virtually every major manufacturer in the stroller industry. If you'd be interested in reading more about this, please check out our article: 'Rampant Greenwashing in the Stroller Industry,' here: www.patreon.com/posts/rampant-in-38755846

    Is there any everyday all terrain strollers that you would recommend over this one? BOB, Thule, Joovy, Bugaboo?? I’m not going to go running or climbing mountains, but the paths I walk can be a little rough (pot holes, some rocks, and hills). I want to use this for everyday use as well, and I want my baby to be comfortable and my stroller to last!! Would you say I’m looking in the right stroller category (all terrain)?

    I didn't know they were redoing the Elite!
    It hasn't been discontinued in Canada, as far as I can tell, but this new version looks sleek!
    I really hate the way the cmgt2 looks. I mean, it's really hideous, but the Elite2 looks great.
    Also, I'm getting some mountain buggy urban vibes. Particularly from the profile.

      Elite 2, in my opinion, as there will be more access to parts moving forwards. Also, fixing the handle arm connectors on the original Elite is more important in my opinion than the potential for other sorts of problems that some of their changes may have brought. If it was a 100 bucks, I'd say original Elite, but for 20, I'd go with the new model. :)

    Please tell me, about the older version of City Elite. My friend has a barely used one, on the frame it says it was manufactured in 2017 but it has a red break pedal on the center of the bottom horizontal part of the back side of the frame. Do you think it is the version which has a lot of problems with the brake system? I want to buy it from her but would love to know more about it.

      @Marina-zb2iz 2 роки тому

      It looks like it has been discontinued. I am quite confused as well since the City Elite seemed like the perfect combination of off-road capability, longevity, and maneuverability. The City Mini GT2 looks less off-road capable and the Summit is so massive.
      At least in Europe, it seems that some places (like the big A...) still sell the Elite. So either buy it new as long as it is still in stock, or maybe save some bucks and go for a second hand model and do all the maintenance recommended on this channel?

      twice a year is good enough. If you live in a snowy place, its also a good idea to wash them first, in the spring, since the salt they use on the roads accelerates rust. WD-40 or a generic multi-spray works well :)

    Hi...thanks so much for this review. It's so thorough! We live in a large city with lots of cobblestone, public transit, etc and this seems like it would do very well. I'm very interested in purchasing this stroller as our everyday stroller, but also want to be able to use it for some light jogging. I'm not a "hardcore runner", just want to be able to jog 2-3 miles a few times a week on smooth, paved surfaces. I'm also considering the Thule Urban Glide 2 and am borrowing a friend's right now. It's very nice, but quite large and BARELY fits in our elevator. So, I'm hoping you can help me. Do you think this stroller would do ok with some light jogging as long as I put a wrist strap on it? I know it's not actually a jogging stroller, but I also know I'm not going to be doing any type of off road running, and I won't be going very fast. I'd love to know your thoughts, please! Thanks so much. :)

    • @BarnevognverkstedNo
      @BarnevognverkstedNo  3 роки тому +2

      The issue with jogging with the Elite 2 would be the front wheel. As since it swivels, the connection is a bit weaker than on dedicated jogging models. For this reason, the Summit X3 would be a better choice for combining jogging with a front wheel that can also swivel. If the wheels are too large on the Summit though, and you really want to do this with an Elite, then I would at least recommend looking for a first generation Elite in good condition, as it's easier to tighten up the front wheel if it loosens up. :)

    Didn't they change the front because on the previous Elite it sort of rattles? It was a problem. We had the Anniversary Edition and while I loved it for the most part the inaccessible under basket and the rattling of the front wheel made me sell it after only a few months use. I do hope that the front wheel problem was fixed with this change.

    • @BarnevognverkstedNo
      @BarnevognverkstedNo  4 роки тому

      Yes, probably. But, that problem was actually easily fixable with a wrench and screwdriver, while the new setup will be more difficult if it develops problems. Still a great stroller, though :)

      The model is still available here, and no real issues have showed up with the model in my experience. Baby Jogger has a tendency to pull specific models from markets where they don't sell well (the Elite 2 isn't available for this reason in the U.S. for example). I also doubt that another version will show up anytime soon, they move pretty slow. :)
