I started a Tom waits radio station on Pandora and this song came up. I listened to it, beside myself with how charming and literal music to my ears it was. These ladies are wonderful. I've been telling everybody I know about them ever since!
Oh what fun! Happy to have done my part... the strenuous task of wearing VivW, a slick of Ruby Woo and warming the knees of all those dashing young men... Roll on girls x
This is one of the ONLY groups i've found, FEMALE at that, that goes retro...in an industry dominated by what's popular and what sells, it's refreshing to find someone who gos back to the basics...my girlfriend loves this kind of music, i SWEAR she's reincarnated from the 50s...LOL...thank you for posting this, me and my girlfriend want MORE!!!
Yes, we say so in "About This Video", top right. And you can see a 3 part interview with the Puppinis at the Westwood studio selecting the dresses if you look in "Related Videos" at right.
This is incredible beyond words. I just found this tune navigating from Pandora's channel (try "Gimme Dat Ding") and I'm just dumbstruck, listening again and again
Well, this video has made me buy the new CD (I loved Betcha Bottom dollar and now I know I'll love the new one), but it's also made me jealous - we need VW dresses for the dame in our village panto!
i love this song!! i listen to these girls all the time, they're brilliant through and through.. such fantastic music.. i would love to sing this song for my cabaret show.. is there anyone who knows of a way i could find/ purchase a copy of the sheet music??
And you might notice that Stephen Coates of The Real Tuesday Weld and burlesque star Ophelia Bitz are also in the vid. Look closely at the dancing guests and you'll find plenty more London luminaries.
@kaseysospacey try searching a bit better -- I can't post links (darn you YT) but if you click on my name (I directed the clip) and go to my page, a higher-res version is under "music videos"
hahha i love that she gives her pistols rather than doing any kind of magic XD i love these girls does anyone know of theyre local to the uk? THEN THEY HAVE TO HAVE GIGS HERE XO
Loved it, can these ladies do any wrong? But was a bit sad that Marcella couldn't get in on any of the gun-toting madness. In the next film clip she better have weapons of Tarantino proportions.
This still slaps 2019

Can these ladies do any wrong? No!!!!. And they are still evolving.

Lovely! Just goes to show how good it gets when you get out from under the thumb of record company producers!

i am going to die i am drowning in their beautiful harmonies

Is definitely because Marcella is Italian. And I must say that the name suits perfectly to the character. xD
Fantastic ladies. Can't wait until North America catches up to you!
thanks...are the gowns frm vivienne westwood, btw?
Superb - well up to your normal standard, ladies. You and your friends look like you enjoyed making the video too.

0:42 is that king charles? and at 0:49 is that teddy from mumford and sons?
Jesse was the tour manager for the Puppini Sisters at the time
Are you the actual video director for these songs?
ps: and you gotta love how the outfits are none less than Vivenne Westwood.
Cor blimey guvnor.
@frederickbabyyeah
I saw them at the Lowry in Manchester in December :P
"Stronzo" means,forgive the term, asshole.
And with the addition of the prefix "Von" is even more funny!
Sounds like they should have been on the "O Brother Where Art Thou" soundtrack!
0:22-i have the same fan at home :)
It just missed her - grazed her temple.
0:37 "Silvio von Stronzo"??
I'm Italian and "stronzo" means.....well.....a bad word!!
Music with a capital Mmmm....
not that i want kate to die, but what prevented her from dying from the gunshot?
great song and video! what a lol "Count Silvio von Stronzo"
Loved it, can these ladies do any wrong? But was a bit sad that Marcella couldn't get in on any of the gun-toting madness. In the next film clip she better have weapons of Tarantino proportions.
Realizing "Teddy" is Ted from Mumford and Sons.
Anyone who likes this song should listen to Strange Love by Little Annie.
hahaaaaaaaa girl power :D
:-)
Probably deliberate, since one of them is Italian.
tired of hip hop and mordern music here you go, go girls
اول عربيي
Silvio von Stronzo! Marcella ti amo!
0:38 Count Silvio von Stronzo......"stronzo" in Italy means "asshole"
