      ive owned a livewire and pre-ordered 2 C1-x's and this is insanely misleading since the battery size is less than 1/3 of the Livewire. so, it actually charges SLOWER (and is on CHadMo??? why would thy make that mistake whenn CCS is way more popular SMH)

    Looks like a lot of investor dollars to hype up an event. I'd like to see an event happen on the floor of the actual production line for their C1X motorcycles. No fancy camera, no hype, just raw production. It's the one thing ALL EV companies fall short on, delivery.

    I've spent the last couple of months searching for the right bike and I've almost bought a Super 73 multiple times but I kept coming back to the fact I want the battery in the frame and not on top so I'm happy to see that update. These look dope and I hope they drop soon!

    @8:41 - the battery size doesn't matter?? Yes is does. That's literally the biggest issue for EV's right now. Nobody is impressed that you can fill the bike 70% in 14 minutes if the battery is half 1/3 the size of a livewire. The RATE of miles/minute charging is what actually matters...

    When EVs with 300 miles of range can be consistently replenished to 80-90% within 15 minutes via fast-charging then it's completely over of ICE vehicles. It's good to see companies other than Tesla changing the game and sidelining Big OIl.. I wish them the best of luck with their e-bikes.

      Not quite, the batteries doesn't last over 130,000 miles on average. My ice service vans go 550,000 miles without any issues. My van can tow 15,000 lbs for 250 miles without refueling, Ford EV truck can only tow 7,000 lbs 90 miles without recharging. You are absolutely 100 percent wrong. EVs will be what fades away.. carbon neutral synthetic fuels will be what takes over. No new infrastructure, no new vehicles will be needed, 3rd world countries can keep a motor vehicles they have without adding any CO2 to the atmosphere. Until someone creates independent energy generator and battery that last 500,000 miles. Just battery replacement costs alone makes it more beneficial to drive an ice getting 14 MPG, that's not including the inflated upfront cost, electric costs or outrageous registration fees. However I'd like to have something like this for local short runs if it's not over $15,000 new..

    Hang on Hang on I had to sell my year old S2 a few months ago cos after a year & 3000 miles the battery only charged to 75% & 73 dont sell spare batteries in Europe / I could not even get a rear fender mounting strut cos it is not a stocked spare part. Customer service was a joke & you now release an E-MOTORBIKE . Here is a tip sort your customer service out & tell customers not to use fast charging very often cos it degrades the battery faster & U guys cant replace an E-CYCLE battery once its done god knows what you are gonna do when E-MOTORCYCLE battery needs replacing.

    • @marsrover001
      @marsrover001 Рік тому +2

      Voltage limitation. CCS needs 150v packs minimum while chademo goes down to 50v (so they can keep using 82v battery architecture) I do agree that all new evs need to have CCS as chademo is definitely dead.

    • @cheesefries7436
      @cheesefries7436 Рік тому

      @@marsrover001 that's some good info thank you! I assume there will be an option to charge over night from a typical household outlet but a "fill up" on a short trip would be way more convenient with a more common plug, even if it took longer than 15mins. Hopefully they decide on a higher voltage battery pack before the c1x comes out.

    • @aratzps
      @aratzps Рік тому +2

      The actual charging protocol is still TBD. We used chademo because it has the smallest footprint port.
      From a technical perspective there's no difference, since all dcfc provide DC current in a similar manner.
      CCS is definitely on the table for the production model.

    What he said was hilarious so let’s speculate here the battery in the Harley is like 3x the size goes a further distance in 10-40% then the c1x will 10-80% so how is that impressive. Hey guys our battery charges fast BUT IF WILL ONLY GET YOU 35 miles. The Harley will get you 75 in that same amount of time tho sorry we just said a bunch of stuff to make you think it’s something fancy…

    • @Super73
      @Super73  Рік тому +2

      Very confidently stated but very incorrect. They correlate correctly in these tests which is why we’re running them in tandem. We will have a whole breakdown coming this week with the details, but we wouldn’t claim this without it being an actual game changer.

    • @phat56pat
      @phat56pat Рік тому +6

      @@Super73 very confident that a Harley has a larger battery then a super 73 c1x yes….the video is very misleading. Maybe just get facts out to the people? So a video is coming out about this stuff yet the supporters still wondering what we support we give the info on what we would pay and for what and that’s the end of it? You guys also said you would inform people with deposits first we all haven’t heard anything instead we learn more just searching thru your responses to people online. Or you now have to go to the physical event to get news. Which could have been live streamed… So we supported you guys and the vision of the bike and then leave us in the dark. Kinda strange right? I’m becoming less and less of a super73 supporter as the process has gone on I talked to so many people about this bike and got a bunch to get deposits. Here we are still clueless. And a giant bike with a giant battery vs a small bike small battery able to charge 2x as fast in the same time but zero battery specs. If it’s a game changer. Why even in the video not give a single spec. Maybe it’s the video editors fault for not including in the wobbly videos? Sorry this whole situation is super irritating because I feel more and more like a fool for spreading the word like I did and these people look at me like uhhh a year and no specs no info nothing I’m like I don’t know not my company not sure why we were lied to about getting info first.

    • @aratzps
      @aratzps Рік тому

      The Harley had 98mi of range (as per its own display) at 100% charge.
      In the time C1X got to 80% it was still in the high 30s.
      Even if they got the same mileage in the same time, how much cost and mass does the massive battery add?
      Also, the tech in C1X scales with battery size. Let's say super chose to make a cruiser like the live wire.... How many miles would it get in 14mins?

    • @phat56pat
      @phat56pat Рік тому +1

      @@aratzps so at 80% the c1x had 30 miles and your saying the Harley had 98 at full that would mean the Harley could go roughly 39-41 miles in 40% meaning they are charging at a similar rate or the Harley is just a tiny bit faster. Also this doesn’t scale like one would think. Also that means you wait 5-10 more min the Harley could go nearly 1.5-1.75 the total mileage the c1x. This is all speculation obviously. Until super73 shows some real life situations glad they have fast charging that’s cool. I’m paving if they put the tech into the e-bikes… 10 min charge get you 20 miles…

    • @aratzps
      @aratzps Рік тому +1

      @@phat56pat let me re-phrase.
      By the end of the charge C1X was at ~83% SOC. It charges so fast that by the time the charger showed 80% and stopped another 3% was added. Live wire was at 37%.
      At that SOC C1X has ~70mi of range.
      My point was that even if both bikes ended with the same effective range (which they didn't), the C1X still has the benefit of the lighter and cheaper battery.
      At the end of the day they are very different products directed at very different customers.
      It will be interesting to see what you think when their e-bikes achieve those charge rates.

    Let's break it down:
    For starters Metacycle is trash, Storm Sondors is a criminal fraud that should go to jail. He's stolen my money and lawyers are involved.
    This bike looks like a stunning alternative, how much does it cost.
    I did notice it's not Apples to Apples. So they say 10%-80% is 70miles range. I'm guessing that's max at slow speed. Live wire has 146mi range on full charge. I have to assume this bike is getting 10mi per 10% but I'm no rocket scientist. The live wire would be getting 14.6mi per 10%. The livewire charged up 30% making 44mi. And the livewire 70mi. So that's 38% faster charging. Given the time frame it would take an extra 6 or seven minutes to juice up the live wire to go the same distance. 15 minutes or 22 minutes is not a deal breaker as both are substantially longer then petrol. I would say if these numbers were anywhere near accurate, the performance of the riding experience would Trump the slightly faster charging time. Also consider the increased range of the livewire allows for less stops which allows for trips further afield.

    I love your brand, but i feel like you think customers are dumb. This is such an odd marketing comparison.... Next time reduce the battery size by 2 and you will get an even better time to recharge. 😅
    The recharging speed is i think expressed in kWh. You are comparing two bikes with completely different characteristics....
    Eventually a miles per hour recharging comparison would make some sense...but since the motorcycle have extremely different performances, this does not say a lot. You could do the comparison with a bicycle with lvl 3 charging... It would not make less sense.
    Please treat us like intelligent customers and Give us real number and not some shady comparison without any relevant data. I am guessing you don't have the final specs and can't communicate about them yet so you had to find something to say.... Well ok. Not very helpful though...

So the curent battery is most likely around 4.4kw. The mileage is probably optimistic when they say 100 miles, at least with that battery. Unless you ride at 35 mph.
