- I finally got around to reacting to Stray Kids! I ended up reacting to their song CHEESE. And it was incredible! So far they are two for two in songs that I have reacted to! What else should I react to next?!

The cheeses they mentioned in the song are all types of cheese with low lactic acid, so people who are lactose intolerant can still eat them & enjoy it. So they are likening their music to different kinds of cheese that everyone can enjoy.
The line in Cheese where Felix goes "Look. Why'd you say it like that?" is actually a reference to the survival show from before they debut. The episode where Minho was trying not to be eliminated & messed up, Felix asked him why he messed up. And since he was still learning Korean, he did it in a kinda accusatory way. People constantly reminded him of this, saying that exact expression. We know he didn't mean it the way it sounded, but people seemed to like using that against Felix.
Also in Cheese, where Han is running from a dino, is a reference to their song Chronosaurus. In that song, they likened time to a monster. They used chrono for time, and a modification of the Kronosaurus. (Which is a type of pliosaurus that's fossils were found in Australia.) People also had a lot to say (hate) about that song too....Which sucks. Because it's one of my fave songs.
The "Cawing of Crows" is a reference to their song Awkward Silence. (It's incredibly cute. It was also made when Stray Kids were still a nine member group, so the Ex member is in it. If no one has said, Stray Kids debut as a 9 member group, but Woojin left just under 2 years after they started. Right before a comeback. It was a mess. Most Stays ignore his existence, but I just treat him as a surprise guest. Not a part of the group.)
Cheese itself is a rather interesting concept. "Smile for the camera. Say cheese." How often do we hear/say that? Stray Kids know that anytime they are outside, there will be cameras. Sometimes they will have to put on a smile whether they want to or not. I.N has said in old interviews that he smiles so that people won't worry, especially his members. He has also mentioned in some vlog or another, that when he was in elementary school his classmates told him he looked too scary & he should smile more to not look mean. So that is why we rarely see him without a smile. He has been doing that since he was small. So in this video, whenever they smiled for "Cheese" it was rarely a smile that reached their eyes. You notice that at the last "cheese" where they were gathered around the camera, as soon as they said that their smiles fell & they looked disappointed & disgusted as they walked away. The only time they looked truly happy was when they were together & running through the shredded post-its. (Which were almost all things people have said about them. Annoying. Loud. Bad leader. So many things that have been sent to them in hate. So what did they do? They papered a room, they wore them, they fought them, they shredded them into confetti to run in.)
Thank you for these little crispy nuggets of information. Some items I figured out or was told about, but I didn't know about the reference that Felix related. And I could only guesstimate what those post-it they were placing on their faces actually said. Understanding this makes me like the song more. You always write well written comments. I enjoy them.
Such a detailed comment, even I didn't think about the actual cheeses that were named. I just want to add one more thing! When listing the fingers, the add libs in the background say "thumb, pointer, ring, pinky" so what you are left with is the middle finger 😂

God's Menu is a must.
But if you want to keep the upbeat/dancing/party jibe you've got with S Class and Cheese, I would suggest Miroh next. It was their first award win.

Stray Kids are in a league of their own. They are incredibly talented and have such a huge discography. Thank you for reacting to them. Cheese references some of their previous songs that haters would moan about. The sticky notes not only look like cheese but think were representing all the hate comments. The whole song is for the haters, pointing out that even the haters listen to their music so say "Cheese" 😁 the cheeses they meantion are easy to digest so their music is for everyone

You're right on the ball, this is a song for the haters. The phrase "what's so funny about a headache?" is a reference to their song called Side Effect where they talked about self doubts and insecurities causing internal turmoil, headaches, insomnia, etc but yet haters were calling their song and style "cheesy" and "construction noise". So Stray Kids is like, call us cheesy all you want, stick your middle finger or whatever finger at us all you want, but we're still gonna be posing for the cameras on all the prestigious home stages as well as the Global/International stages in your face! When Felix was naming the different types of cheese, it's a reference to Stray Kids' many different types of music and styles that their fans (called STAYS) also love about them.
If you listen closely during the finger folding part the adlibs are saying different fingers so they’re actually flipping off their haters
Cheese is one of my favorites! I love their "self worth" songs so much!
In the song they were referring to "God's menu" (the song that shot them into fame) and "side affects" (a song about mental health), both are quite loud and amazing but ppl love to hate on them 🤷🏻♀️

ADHD ex-dancer love me some Stray Kids crazy beats and switches. Some must listens are God's Menu, Thunderous, Maniac, Double Knot, Side Effects, Miroh, Venom, Back Door, all are music videos. Also love dance practice videos, like Domino and God's Menu. There's so many, it's hard to name them!😅
