So happy we have such good gin's here in Aus. Love Four Pillars. I'm fully stocked up with ample supple of the Bloody Shiraz, Changing Seasons, Christmas gins, Chardonnay and Sherry barrel aged gins and even got a couple bottles of the Underhill Shiraz which is absolutely incredible. Love the reviews, keep it up mate!
Oh yeah there is SO much good gin being made down here in Australia these days. I also reviewed Four Pillars latest release the Rarest Dry Gin with Bergamots instead of Oranges and it might just be my fave gin of 2021!!
I have heard terrific things about the Underhill Shiraz! I am in Vancouver and we get a lot of Aussie spirits and wine. I will check my favourite private wine and spirits store - they tend to carry far more Aussie spirits/wine!! Thanks for mentioning the Underhill Shiraz! I appreciate! Cheers! 🙂
@@christinecamley Yeah I bet you have and for good reason! The Underhill Shiraz is incredible,. Really kicks it up a notch from the regular one which was already amazing. I know Four Pillars recently started exporting their Shiraz gin's to the UK with the goal to have it wildly distributed in more countries very soon. Being in Canada I'd imagine if you look hard enough in those boutique stores you will be able to snag a bottle or two for sure. I live only a half hour drive from their distillery and to see how it started from only a few years back to now is incredible. Best of luck getting your hands on the Underhill and when you do I'm sure you will love it.
Mate I have the chance to buy a bottle of this in a few months, can't get them where im at. I can only bring one back, which do you recommend most out of their 4 or 5 most readily available gins? I'm strongly leaning towards the bloody Shiraz, even though London drys are my fav I am focusing on adding more contemporary gins to my collection. I think I'm going to get the bloody shiraz unless one of the others are that much better that I just can't not get it. Like the dry, the olive or the off Broadway versions. Cheers!
Bloody shiraz is a sweeter sloe gin style made with the whole fresh grapes instead of sloe berries. Might not be your thing. If you like dry gin I highly recommend the Olive Leaf gin. For me it’s the best of their core range by a mile - complex, herbaceous and great texture. Makes the best martini I’ve ever had and equally as good in a gin and tonic.
@@TimandTonic Appreciate the input mate. Now I've a big headache lol. I've absolutely no problem with a sweet or Berry/plum tasting gin at all. Its just if I could only drink one style for the rest of my life it would be London dry. But if its that much ahead of the others maybe I should get the Olive. 👌
