Manda is a folk and fusion instrumental ensemble band typically formed in Kirtipur, Kathmandu which aims to promote and preserve Nepal's traditional instruments where as continue the mordern musical instruments as well, via music. Manda is a newari cultural word and for the Nepali it is said to be "Mandala". Manda: representing the various colors which is made during Tihar festival, presenting the different colors, so they present with the different types of music and melodies. Since, 2008 A.D. Manda is playing its music as per established. The band does not only play traditional instruments, it also collaborate modern instruments with the featuring artists. Band aims to make the importance of Nepali music to the entire world so do observe the different places of Nepal and creates music through it fusing the music from the western regions with the eastern, and reviving traditional Nepali music from near extinction.
