I hope this feature works even when I'm not using turn-by-turn navigation.

These alerts don't require using the turn-by-turn navigation as they'll be sent before you actually start your journey. They do require that you have set your home and work address. And if you don't want to use the turn-by-turn navigation, you'll need to check in advance where the bottleneck is located, but to me that seems like more work than just using the navigation in that instance.

The Waze traffic bar feature is available in Waze portrait map mode only. However, it is unavailable in Waze landscape map mode.
This has not been fixed for years. Any Wazers who drive using Waze landscape map mode notice this?
Come on Waze. If you can develop fantastic features in Waze navigation app constantly, why can’t you fix the Waze traffic bar feature that is unavailable in Waze landscape map mode?
