The phenomenal German composer and music critic Johann Friedrich Reichardt (Fischer-Diskau wrote a biography about him) called Leonardo Leo the most important composer of the eighteenth century, that is, before his time. Here is what we are looking at: music that far surpasses Bach and Mozart in melodic tonality.
