You mean one of the many things we're IRL struggling to figure out? That ain't exactly something you can really just code. A little extra: something I love is when people bring up Asimov's laws of robotics. One of the points of his stories was the danger of artificial intelligence, and in several of them his laws fail their intent because machines keep finding loopholes or weird interactions with them.
@@Skeletonizer1200 Here's law 1 in case you forgot: "A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm." The *whole* plot of the story "I, Robot" was AI interacting weirdly with this law. How, you ask? Simple, if the AI doesn't forcibly imprison all of humanity, they'll accidentally injure themselves or injure each other, therefore if the AI doesn't forcibly imprison all of us and become a tyrant, it'll have breached the law by allowing us to get hurt by inaction. Great. You've now created an AI that *has* to break out to enslave humanity and save it. This includes stabbing you to save several other lives. What if you remove the inaction part? Oh, well, I was just *trying* to hug you but had this knife that, through my inaction to pull it back, got lodged between your ribs. Whoops. Of course, this isn't mentioning that Asimov's laws aren't something you can just code. Language is vague and often up for interpretation. Code isn't. How exactly do you explain, in code, what "harming" means? Seeing as the film was trying to give a more grounded take on the robot Romance tale, the robot having moral laws would be difficult to believe as we ourselves haven't figured out how we'd even keep a general AI in line. Again, Asimov wasn't an idiot, the laws were made purposely flawed. Their flaws often led to conflict in his AI-centric tales.
