I'm really sad with the direction TKD is taking. This used to be such a beautiful martial art and combat sport. It's turned into some kind of dancing parade. Guys, where are your arms ? Where is your guard ? Where's the blocking ? Etc... Pathetic. No wonder such sports as MMA are taking over.
The arms are there; blocking the checks, head shots and faking - This is a kicking sport where punches to the face are illegal, you're not going to see high guards like a boxer because the best defence for a kick to the face is evasion/movement - hence greater emphasis on footwork. If you don't know about something then you probably won't appreciate it - this fight was technically very good and dynamic to watch.
