My beagle puppy, who's name is Moose, is the cutest little howler. He is almost 8 weeks old.

My former neighbors (both of us have moved) had a dog that would howl at the train when it blew its horn on the way past. THEY were kind of embarrassed, WE thought it was hilarious. We let them know we enjoyed hearing him "sing", and we even howled with him a couple of times. Good dog and good folks!

I own a Catahoula, we taught her how to bay and howl and it was so adorable so we had no real regrets....fortunately we live next to a neighbor with a loud stocky bully breed lol and we live close to a loud German Shepard.

I had a neighbor whose beagle lived to be 17, and it was so encouraging as well as endearing ho hear her feeble little granny howl up through the end of her life, and every time I heard her howl, I knew she was stoll alive. Puppies are precious.

Yeah my uncle had a beagle lived for about 20 years he could still run a bark they had to stop him from trying too hunt as he was a hunting dog and it would hurt him he went peacefully in his sleep due to old age was over 100 in dog years surprised he lived that long epically being a hunting dog in the country

mine learned to howl at a young age, I love the beagle vocal chords. She only howls in short stints, when alone. My building is very dog friendly and most people are told we are very pet friendly and people understand dogs have anxiety just as humans do. My neighbor hears her howls from time to time while I'm at work. Her youngest daughter talks to her through the wall with the intention of letting her know she's never really alone. Very sweet of her.

@@kagavice yeah, that person was being ridiculous. That’s why they deleted the comment. Yeah we used to have three dogs before my ex-wife wanted a divorce and now my dog sits alone all day in my studio apartment, while I work. Trust me, it’s not ideal situation for me or her if anything happens to me no one even though she’s alone in my apartment. It sucks and it gets to be on a daily basis, but these are just some of the small affects divorce has on the family or what was a family. Luckily my dad when I haven’t really had a relationship with that much over the years because of his alcoholism is that we move back in with him and he has two dogs the same age. Well, One is very sick right now so the time I move in with him, it might be only one dog. But yeah, people need to think about the animals when they’re talking about getting a divorce. Not just him selves like my ex-wife did.

My beagle doesn't howl, he freaking talks. And when I am laying down, he simple grunts and touches my hand to wake me up. I always felt that I may have missed to teach him how to howl, but he would not have been an intelligent quiet boy if I did.
Honestly I've grown up with beagles and I've had two beagles myself and the only times my beagles have howled or barked has been either when they're hunting, protesting something or when I tell them to "speak a rough word" as they say in my language. I have a feeling this talk of howling throughout the night is more of a falshehood or owner fault because of something like separation anxiety.
@@Perkelenaattori most probably. The only times my boy has sounded close to howling is short burts of howling, like for 2 or 3 seconds and he usually changes the tone as well. He does it only he argues with me or I stare at him intensely like I'm challenging him.
@@Perkelenaattori same here. Our beagle Lou would react to TV sounds, like when we had an Animal Planet show about some puppies being delivered or someone knocked on the door on the movie we watched.
But other times, it was to let us know that he'd found a bullfrog in our backyard 😂
