Big Question: How to save controller assigns? I have a controller. I assigned knobs to vst plugins and i want to keep this forever. How? If i close FL Studio and i load e.g. tone2firebird and assigned knobs: How to save those assigments?
Hey! You want Global Links, not Project Links. Here's my article for you: itsgratuitous.com/project-links-vs-global-links-flstudio/
Everytime I open new/saved project my links dissapear... Linking all knobs and wheels everytime I want to create music make me mad... How to solve it?
Hey! You need to setup Global Links: itsgratuitous.com/project-links-vs-global-links-flstudio/
A global link will stay with you from project to project. A Project Link is just per project in FL Studio!
@@itsGratuiTous thanks for the reply I just finished to watch and kept another comment)
Good Vid overall but I still dont know how to find out to what a button is linked on my Nanokontroll 2 because i somehow forgot it and it doesnt seem to do anything
I think you just look at your "Remote control" section I showed in the video there!: itsgratuitous.com/remove-links-from-midi-controller-flstudio/
Are you sure the button is working? What kind of button is it?
@@itsGratuiTous yes fl is recognizing that i am pressing the button and the button is also lighting up red
@@FlokkeR6 Yes look in that "Remote control" folder and see if anything is linked. If not, then maybe it's not linked to anything? Just right-click something, go "Link to Controller", then push that button on your MIDI Keyboard. See if it does anything. (You may have to hold down the button to see if it activates).

Great video, and great channel! Thank you for the in depth explanation, as well as the quick recaps to your previous tutorials. Keep up the great work!
I was also wondering if you might do a video on MIDI omni modes (in the remote control settings when linking), and what that means, and how one would use it in practice. I also notice that on the bottom panel in the main MIDI settings window, there's an option to set your MIDI channel for omni preview. What does this mean, and how would one use it?
Hey thanks for the comment. Added this to the list. Will plan for this shortly! For the time being, you can also view the FL Studio articles on my website! itsGratuiTous.com/blog/ 🙂
EDIT: this tutorial Omni Mode / Omni Preview mode is now released: ua-cam.com/video/JvM3Qm0h_r8/v-deo.html
Hey, here is the OMNI MODE tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/JvM3Qm0h_r8/v-deo.html
(I also cover Omni Preview at the end of the video. Lots of good FL Studio tips in there!)
@@itsGratuiTous what's the purpose by using the link controller ? And when should I use it ?
@@mazin4329 Hey! All detail are in my article here: itsgratuitous.com/multilink-to-controllers-flstudio/
I have an FLkey37 and no matter how I handle the links, it seems to be hard locked to the pitch of the first channel sampler.
I don't suppose anyone's found a workaround to this?
Hey Dave, sorry I don't have an FL Key.. These tutorials will show step-by-step how links work in FL Studio.. besides that, it may be something with the MIDI Script they provide or something..

great tutorial, I'm stuck when I try pulling up the link menu not showing in Remote control settings
Hey, what do you mean by "link menu". Are you saying you can't see your Internal Controllers? Let me know more details.
Also if you want to learn FL Studio in-depth, you should view my COURSE PATHWAYS:

@@itsGratuiTous thank you for such a quick response!
correct I cannot see my internal controls. I noticed this when trying to mix my kick and 808 together..
I used to see the option and now it’s randomly gone
@@itsGratuiTous okay I didn’t realize you need to open a peak controller on the 808 as well as a parametric EQ in order for it to sync properly. Thank you so much
@@boogabooga5481 If you could send me a screenshot or upload a video and share a link with me to see what's going on, that will help identify what's going on!
@@boogabooga5481 No you should only need to open the Fruity Peak Controller on the 808 channel. Then the EQ can see it as an "Internal Controller" 🙂
This is WAY TO LONG to know HOW TO REMOVE .... Are U fishing ? Make a short please...
Right-click the knob, click "Link to Controller", click "Reset" in the popup, then press "Accept". itsgratuitous.com/remove-links-from-midi-controller-flstudio/
This doesn't explain how to bypass the fire controller. Thumbs down!
This is about removing links and parameters from previously linked knobs and sliders in FL Studio. What's going on with the FIRE controller?
Great video . Thank you dude 👏
