@@CleanWithConfidence hi 👋 I clean rental properties and real estate move outs. If I come across a shower combination bathtub that looks like this I know it sounds completely crazy but I use a paste of the bartenders, friend and water and a cheap scrubber brush from the dollar tree and scrub scrub scrub rinse and scrub, and rinse once again and it takes any grease or funk or anything off. If I wanna shine it up I let it dry and use a microfiber cloth!!! Bam 💥 clean and shiny with no chemical smell and it doesn’t scratch
Believe it or not. My friend use to clean nasty apartments when people moved out and she used off oven cleaner . I tried it and used a spatula and it peeled off great. It cleans glass too but you can’t leave on the aluminum door frame. The problem is ventilation as it’s very strong. After. I scrubbed and rinsed I took a rub on wax that helped refinish and make the fiberglass look new. I do that 1 X per yr. Both my shower and jetted tub are 22 yrs old and still very smooth and shiny
Baking soda first, rub it on... spray vinegar... then use a liquid soap and rinse. You can get rid of the appearance of scratches where dirt has gotten itself into grooves this way.
Oh wow! I’ve been using Scrubbing Bubbles with Magic Erasers for years!! Yay- I’ve been doing something right! That was A LOT of soap scum. It came out perfectly. Well done!
I like to use old credit/ debit/ gift cards to scrap it off in nice long sheets. Nothing exists currently that allows you to remove the soap scum without manual intervention so I use this method. The wider the cards edge the fatter the ribbon of scum will be lifted. You may get a cramp in your hand/ fingers if you’re after it for a while but this will happen from scrubbing too only you’ll have less satisfying results.
I pick up samples of formica countertops at the big box stores. Someone had recommended them to scrape off burned on food from cooktop stoves. They do not scratch the glass and they're safe for your shower.
How I do mine is I use a cleaning pad attachment to my cordless drill, use liberal amounts of barkeepers friend, and then clean away. Makes it faster and less tiring on the arms. Barkeepers friend works great on all the soap scum and hard water deposits.
This worked amazing!!! I ordered everything from Walmart (even the ‘great value’ box or sponges (they are the exact same thing!!!!). It cleaned our tub like nothing else ever has before! I wish I took before pics - it was just bad! Thanks for sharing!!!
I haven't cleaned my tub or shower in years! And they look like new! How often do you clean soap scum from the inside of your dish washer? How about from inside your washing machine? Correct, never. The best way to clean soap scum is never get it in the first place. Chunk all your bath soap and only use liquid soap. The main ingredient in bar soap is Sodium tallowate. Sodium tallowate is a true soap made by combining the fatty tissue (or tallow) of animals, such as cattle and sheep, with lye, typically sodium hydroxide". It's pure white animal fat that holds the soap in a clump. It sticks to the tile or tub and water will not run over it. Sits there and the water evaporates and leaves mineral deposits on the fat. Repeat a few times and you have "soap scum". Liquid soap or "detergent" holds oily skin residue in suspension and it washes everything away when you rinse. Just like your clothes or dish washer. Also an added benefit is that your drains will never clog up!!
Thank you very much for this video. I would like to ask what is in the black cup? Can you explain the role the black cup and its contents play? Thanks!

The scrubbing bubbles with the white eraser worked a little bit, on the parts that barely had soapscum. But the KRUD KUTTER wooohoo works amazing! If used with the white eraser it takes ALOT of elbow grease and still doesnt quite get it all (but better than other products). but when i used it with a scoring pad, it came right up without effort.. the bottom of the tub where we would stand needed a little extra scrubbing but it wasnt hard. I will always use the krud kutter and my scoring pad for now on.(or a scotch sponge). p. s I dont know what kind of tub it is. i call it plastic lol it didn't scratch mine.
