  • "They called us: 'Tutsi! Tutsi!' They took you out of the tent and did what they wanted with you."
    Prisca, Marie-Jeanne and Concessa say they survived the #Rwandan genocide and sought safety in #refugee camps, only to be repeatedly raped and abused by the French soldiers sent there to protect them. All describe similar horrors: #abduction from their tent, the gang rapes, and the photos of the assaults taken by the soldiers. “We naively thought that the white man was a saviour, that he would bring peace,” sighs one of the women. While French army denies all accusations of rape, the three women filed a complaint with the French courts in 2004 and 2012. The investigation is now at a standstill.

    Till now after all these stories and documentaries I am completely shocked and disgusted that French soldiers took part in this. 🤬😡😢

      All of the rwandans are innocent, the then disgusting atrocities were the plot of some French in order to over control the country's resources.

      @@theowachenuka4005 Europeans are colonizers and they had done terrible things to the locals across the globe and which no world court of justice ever bring their leaders for genocide and human atrocities. It is the hypocrisy of colonialism.

    I am a Rwandan millenial who was too young to know what was going on in 1994 but 30 years later, i am still
    in disbelief and with a PTSD I can't get rid of. God watch over our land 🙏🏾

    I hope the Tutsi tribe, heals and genuinely forgive their brothers and the rest of the world.

    This is so horrific, both of the Hutus and the French soldiers. Who does this. I don’t think Justice would really come there way. My only hope is they come to terms with what happened and keep forging their lives ahead and for the generations to come. Much love from Uganda.

    It's funny how western world preach human rights, justice and democracy in the world but can't bring French militaries and officials who committed crimes in Rwanda during the genocide against Tutsi 1994 and thereafter. 😢

    Iam from Poland! and during World War,II,about 400000 women suffered the same treatment! from german animals and psychopats and women killed on spot!

    sometimes justice feels not enough to the victims, there should be something more than Justice , and i have come to know it "Forgiveness" . In Rwanda , we healing but i'm telling you it's not easy .

    Very sad and inhumane,actually the French and West as collectively are responsible all the horors and the sufferings these people have gone through,especially the French and Belgium's who have sawn the hatred and animosity between these brotherly Africans.and even after all this,they are still not done with them,still plotting against them.trying to drug them into the same predicament again.
