Qadir / Means "capable, powerful" in Arabic. This transcription represents two different ways of spelling the name in Arabic. In Islamic tradition القادر (al-Qadir) is one of the 99 names of Allah.
I saw Mr. Hakim live back in October at Desert Daze, and he closed the set with this song. Chanting along with him and the crowd was almost spiritual, this song is truly amazing. I am so ready to hear this whole album, and I know the next opportunity I get to see him I’m buying tickets in a heartbeat, I suggest everyone do the same. Much love, thank you for getting us through these trying times
This song is beautiful and haunting at the same time. Treasure your loved ones and hold them close. Even when you're mad...still do your best to love them. Life is temporary for us all.
Years ago I did the same. Id post everywhere and write messages to him saying please come back to London after he hadn’t been for years. My dream came true and I have the honour of seeing this beautiful soul twice
Had the pleasure of seeing Nick perform at the House of Blues in Dallas back in 2017. When I first heard Green Twins I was blown away at how different his music was and I was moved by just how beautiful sounding and mesmerizing it was. He was already at that time on the rising scene but had and still has an amazing fan base. There was only a crowd of about 200 people max in a small show room and it was the best live show that I have ever been to! I remember watching the openers and standing right next to Nick in the crowd and it’s so mind blowing to me to see him from small crowds to now a huge and ever-growing artist playing for crowds of all types! Nick is such a talented dude, his outlook on this new album coming is a new shift and I am so excited to see what he has in store for us in the near future! This is such a great song with a powerful message! Thanks for being such an inspiration for me and many others, Nick!
This song is so spot on. People who where mask and cant adapt. People who just ain't kind. This song is helping me through my Divorce. I need to be kind to my temple, mind and spirit. Thank you so much Nick. Cant wait to see you live in D-town!✊🏾✌🏾
holy shit this just came around full circle. found out about nick randomly and got into his music then months later got into keiyaa's music and now i realize shes in the video.
This is the most beautiful song ever, every time i listen I hear a different layer to the song. The chords take me somewhere, I love every piece of it.
I remember getting chills listening to this when you closed your set with this song at Cafe 939. Felt like you were signing for your own healing, cathartic and beautiful.
We need this. This is the heart of healing portrayed in audiovisual. Shukran mabrouk. ps for some reason I can just hear this song in my mind, with Chronixx in it.
Nick, I saw you by chance at the Kennedy Center's opening of the Reach and you sang this one song, just you and the piano and I have been stalking your music ever since. I was so excited to see this. Ever think about recording the piano version? Thank you for sharing your talent!
I love where this track takes it to towards the end. That kind of expression takes courage, both for the musician and inspires the same in the listener.
These lyrics speak to me and a current relationship so strongly. Its crazy to think about. I wonder if they were written in reflection to a similar dynamic I am in. Or maybe they were written to express something so vastly different that he experienced. Either way, this song was released during a time period in my life that reflects in these lyrics. This song has been played so much the past two weeks and its gotten me through a lot of feelings. Thank you so much Nick. You are a gift of pure light to this often challenging world.
I love this song. I love playing along to all Nick's songs on the piano. It took me a while to work out the second chord in this. It is (I think), an Ab9/Bb. The chords and head to Bouncing are glorious. It could be a jazz standard. Thanks Nick, and keep on x
Qadir is my dad's name, he passed away 40 days ago, this song constantly reminds me of him ... :)
So sorry for your loss🙏🏽
R. I. P🙏🙏🙏
My dad died 40 days ago hope you are better
Praying for comfort x
Sorry for your loss
"we all feel change

Nick. If youre reading this. Thank you for this one. Love.
In 1997, I was covering local music in Toronto. An artist I interviewed said ‘music is our last voice’. Songs like this remind me of that quote.
Also i’ve listened to this about a dozen times, its now 5:37 am on a Saturday during the pandemic.
Nobody can tell me that this song isn't powerful

pumakel1 amazing!! When the times approaches hopefully I’d be blessed the same way
When he says "In your mother's garden" it hits different
I dunno what kind of crazy ass spiritual energy you tap into making your music but it makes me feel all kind of ways. ❤️
