I ordered this bag back in October in both the mini and small and in black and was underwhelmed. So I returned both of them. But I still couldn’t help thinking about it for months and just ordered it again last week. Now I love it. LOL 😆

Who knows, my opinion could totally change down the line! I will admit something about the black does look better to me. Not sure why!

I have never had Marc jacobs either, and recently took the plunge and bought the same mini leather tote in rose dust for spring. I agree on the packaging. I can’t wait to get mine. ❤️

Very honest review and truly appreciated! ❤️❤️ I myself have one in the color cement. I do like it. It's a comfortable carryall and a functional, practical, trusty piece. The color you have is simply beautiful however, I do understand your reasons for not keeping it . Very valid points.. :-) Great review!

it’s a great bag & this is definitely a situation where it was a me thing, not a fault of the tote!
I have ordered the size large canvas version to see if that’s a better fit for me and my lifestyle. can’t wait to give it a shot 😍
I personally love these totes I already have three! Two leather ones and one black canvas one. The canvas one is 👌 such a cool material for a bag! And the leather ones are really stylish. To each their own though! Thanks for the video.
I got mine yesterday and used it for a dr appt. I thought it was super comfy. If you don’t love it, so smart to be realistic and send it back
yes, the bag is great! amazing quality and very functional. I think for the price tag it just wasn’t realistic for me because I don’t have a hole in my collection that I need to fill. Love the color you got by the way!!!

i love that colour leather! I just ordered the khaki canvas one and I'm curious to see it when it arrives! I ended up getting it on sale which was lucky 😂 I've heard such good things about the leather ones, but I'm just not sure if they will be over soon, like you said the lettering is pretty trendy
the khakis canvas is stunning!! i know so many people rave about the leather (and it’s very buttery) but i think the canvas style is more casual and won’t be dated as quick! plus it’s a much better price point.

I am totally with you on the hesitation. I like the bag and think it’s good quality, but the price is too high (in my personal opinion) for it to not be timeless.
I have bought vintage louis vuitton pieces off fashionphile for a similar price point. It’s just not for me. That said, I have since ordered the large canvas version to try. I will be making a video on that as well!

I get appalled when I see packages arriving without bubble wrap and it really irks the heck out of me. You're absolutely right to to return it if you're not in love. It's still a lot of money for something that doesn't light your fire. Thanks for the honest feedback and thoughts, babe. This is what helps our bag-loving community out!💕

The Marc Jacobs tote gets me every time. Just perfect. I have 2 of them that I reviewed on my channel. I purchased from Sak’s so packaging was different. Enjoy

Glad you returned since you clearly don’t like it. I have several - both leather & canvas - and think their fabulous. Compared to a lot of other shopper totes on the market, they are reasonably priced.
100% agree! I actually ended up getting the size large in canvas and LOVE IT! posting a video on it sunday 😍
also, I think if I tried this in a fun color just to give it a little extra something, I would love it more. the new pink is STUNNING. I also would consider trying the black though too. I think the brown just wasn’t for me.
I have 2 of these bags, one in this Argan and one in the light blush rose pink. I haven’t carried either one yet. Totally understand reasons for not wanting to keep it. In terms of packaging though, this is honestly packaged more securely and better than any of my LV bags ever were. The LV bags just come in a dust bag, pretty much just tossed in the box. With a ribbon sometimes. No wrapping, no bubble wrap. So this is not bad. Cute strap but I feel the MJ straps are so heavy.
you’re absolutely right about LV not always having good packing either… even less than this. I think I’m just so used to fashionphile 😂 this color and the blush are absolutely STUNNING! I hope you carry them soon and enjoy them to the fullest!

I find that when companies spend attention to the detail of the packaging , the price can be about double. I think the price of the bag is very affordable, considering how amazing the quality is. Bummer you didn’t like it… I adore mine !
totally valid point! sometimes it's just not worth paying for packing. that tends to be a fault of mine hehe. but I'm so glad you are loving yours!! I still admire them from afar, ESPECIALLY the bright colors they have released.
ok so i just opened mine, same size and color. and I also was very underwhelmed. it’s so pretty but i feel like its so small. i am thinking of returning and getting the medium size. i just dont understand, it seemed so big by reviews but it feels so small in person
I totally agree! I’ve even considered the large size in black leather!! Something about the mini just doesn’t work for me personally! Let me know you decide to do!
Thinking of getting this bag in this color. The only thing is i absolutely hate the logo so in this color it isn’t too loud like the ones that is in a bold color. Idk why i want this i bought too many bags recently 4 Lv’s and 1 gucci… Lord knows i dont need anymore bags!
girl will we EVER find purse peace?! LOL. this color is BEAUTIFUL but I do think the logo will be dated in a year or two. the nice thing is you have the option to wear it with the logo towards your body if you want and it doesn’t look weird.
Hello! I had the small Marc Jacob summer tote. I liked it but I thought the strap was extremely uncomfortable. I like the leather tote. I probably would get it in a color instead of a neutral because of the large logo on the front. 💜
you bring up a great point in that I think I might have enjoyed this bag more in a fun color. it needs something a little extra. quality and functionality is a 10/10 but it just didn’t make my heart sing. totally a me thing! the bag itself was great!
Louis Vuitton doesn’t do much with their packaging either. They pretty much just throw in the bag as well. If we want superb packaging guess we have to go with Chanel.
For the price it seems like a good bag to me.
LV can be hit or miss. I’m used to buying LV on fashionphile which has great packaging 9/10 times. That’s not the sole reason I didn’t keep the bag. I just was underwhelmed by it. I also have a few friends have have sold there’s due to popped stitching.
It’s not a bad bag by any means, it just didn’t give me that excited feeling! 🤷🏻♀️

When i’ve ordered from LV there’s no bubble wrap or anything, handles are not even wrapped 🤷🏻♀️
I am used to ordering preloved on FP! I have seen a lot of people complain LV doesn’t do great wrapping with online orders. You’re definitely not alone!

I have a few of these bags actually… and I’m ok and understanding of the packaging as it’s not luxury and more contemporary so I knew and expected it not to be well packed like let’s say an LV however I got an LV 2 years ago and the way it was packed was disgusting for the price tag…. Sure I got the box but it wasn’t wrapped with the bow or anything just everything thrown in…. Which is expected from contemp 🤷🏻♀️ I dunno just my thoughts
I totally understand where you’re coming from. I think I hyped up the presentation too much in my head. I guess just because these are still a hefty price tag in my opinion.
The bag itself is great, it’s just not for me! I did decide to order the large canvas version. Thinking that might be a better fit 😊
Also, sorry to hear about your LV experience. I would be very upset if that was the case. I think all brands, even luxury, can be a bit inconsistent.

I had it in the red it was beautiful and great leather, but I had to return it, it got so heavy. I kept my canvas one even though I preferred the leather one.
I actually just got the large canvas version and WOW it was love at first sight. I think it’s gonna work out great for me. I can definitely see how the leather one would get heavier quicker though. The red was super pretty! What color canvas did you go for?!

Honestly your packaging is better than mine, I purchased the new Morning glory color and my box looked nothing like yours, it didn’t even come with the MJ envelope with the receipt. The receipt was just thrown in the box. very apparent that it was rushed. Love the bag and wont send it back but I’m put off with packaging for this order. 😒
Same. I got a dented cardboard box. No envelope with the paperwork. I love the bag so I'm overlooking it but for $375 I expected a little more umph... even cheapie bags from Michael kors come nicely packaged.

The more fluff to the packaging the more you will pay. I am ok with no fluff as long as it is packed safely
Truthfully I felt like for the price it should have some more fluff, though I absolutely appreciated how carefully everything on the bag was wrapped!
